Scripture is quite clear that teaching children is a serious matter and Luther, Melanchthon, and other church fathers concur. Education is a valuable tool in preparing children for life in this world and the next. Yet, just as a hammer accomplishes nothing if it is not picked up and used, so is education in which there is no participation.
Wittenberg Academy was founded with the goal of partnering with families to deliver solid classical Lutheran education to families around the world. The online format offers a certain degree of freedom and flexibility for families in various situations. That said, delivery cannot officially occur unless there is reception on the other end of the delivery. Without reception, we cannot, with integrity, claim to be delivering solid classical Lutheran education.
For this reason, out of deep love for our scholars, both present and future, we are confirming that you fully understand Wittenberg Academy’s policies and procedures as outlined in the Handbook. We ask that each scholar read through the handbook and then submit their signature along with a parent's signature below.
The Head Teacher and teachers of Wittenberg Academy are always willing to work with the individual needs of scholars and families within the bounds of our stated policies and procedures. Communication is vital and the only way we can meet the needs of our scholars.
On behalf of the Board and teachers, thank you for partnering with Wittenberg Academy. It is our highest joy to serve you in providing solid classical Lutheran education.
