    The register is designed to help working parents plan financially and reduce the financial stress of having a child, giving them the best shot at returning to work successfully.

    Most workplaces in New Zealand offer the government standard. If this is true for yours, do not be concerned. You're in the majority and the register is not designed as a comparative tool - we warmly welcome you. 

    All organisations who join the register are signalling to prospective and current employees that they're an open, transparent workplace supporting working parents.

  • Representing Your Parental Leave Policy Information

    Crayon's overarching principle is to work constructively with employers to build a verified database with accurate and reliable information.

    Your organisation's information will be displayed as follows

    • On the main page, we list the employer name, industry, number of employees and a link to the parental leave profile. Employers are listed in alphabetical order. 
    • Visitors will then click on an employer's profile to see the specific details of the parental leave offering. Parental leave policy documentation is not displayed.

    You can submit your information by:

    1. Completing this form and inputting all the data fields. 
    2. Sharing your organisation's parental leave policy documentation with Crayon (if you have a policy). We will then read through the policy and format the information into the database. To be clear, the policy document is not shared outside of Crayon.

    We will send you a snapshot of your information before it appears on the database so you have an opportunity to provide feedback.

    The register will be a living resource. We will liaise with you to keep it up to date with your latest policy.
