IceFlow is a gentle, yoga-inspired skating class for adults of ALL levels that explores the connection between breath and movement. Elin Schran has been teaching IceFlow for over 15 years. Her positive, non-judgmental approach ensures that all participants feel welcome and free to skate within their own comfort zone.
The Work: Skaters will focus on maintaining an open flow of breath and energy while transferring weight, changing direction, and moving with others.
The Goal: To discover ways to be gentle with yourself and others and to appreciate the richness of your Now.
SockFlow is the off-ice version of the yoga-inspired skating edge class called IceFlow. Done in socks, SockFlow brings the positive energy and gentle movement of IceFlow anywhere.
In Flow classes, whether on or off the ice, the primary focus is connecting breath with movement by accepting and honoring the present moment. Step sequences are demonstrated with available modifications and then done as a group to music. Before each step, we inhale positive energy and exhale stress.
