The Annual Workhouse BrewWorks will be held this year on May 18, 2024.
Thank you for applying to partner with the Workhouse for BrewWorks. Please be sure to read ALL the Terms & Conditions. In order to ensure public and vendor safety, you will be held to these standards.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
- Location: Workhouse Arts Center, 9518 Workhouse Way, Lorton, VA 22079
- Set-up Time: 9 am to 11 am. (ALL vehicles MUST be off Workhouse Way by 11am)
- Festival Hours: 12 PM - 5:30 PM (Last pour 5 PM)
- Electricity: None available through the Workhouse. You can supply your own generator. Must be 75 DCB or lower. Fire Extinguisher must be present.
- Tent Space Size: Single space = 10' wide by 10' long.
- Required documentation the Workhouse needs on file:
- Copy of your vendor license/permit issued by Fairfax County Health Department or Department of Agriculture
- Copy of liability insurance Certificate of Insurance:
Workhouse Arts Foundation, Inc., AND Fairfax County, VA.
- Permit for generator, if necessary
- Logo and photos

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Registration is now open. Application deadline is April 20, 2024
- Applications are considered on a first received, first considered basis.
- Once your application has been reviewed & accepted, you will receive an e-mail notifying you that your business has been selected. This typically occurs within a week of submittal.
- Upon acceptance of this application, the Workhouse will send you an Independent Services Contractor agreement. This document, in accordance with our ABC license, will allow your company to provide free tastings of your product (which is being purchased directly from the distributor).
- The Workhouse will be purchasing all the beverages from your distributors. Please let me know your top 3-4 brew choices. The Workhouse will choose 2 to purchase.
- Workhouse providing all cups & ice
- Beverage vendors must bring their own equipment, including but not limited to tent, tent weights, tables, chairs, trash bags, jockey boxes or other containers to keep product cold, etc. The Workhouse does not offer access to electricity or water.
- Beverage vendors must have at least one person in your tent/space to be available for questions about the product and give free tastings.
- All vendors are welcome to bring merchandise to sell at your booth. You must provide your own POS to process those payments. Vendors keep 100% of all merchandise sales
- Vehicles & trailers are not allowed in the Quad. All booths can only be tents, tables & jockey boxes or other cooling apparatus.
- Booths are approximately 10' x 10’.
- Vendors MUST be set up in your space no later than 11 AM, for the fire marshal walkthrough.
- STAKES ON TENTS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED – no exceptions! Under no circumstances will stakes be used on the Workhouse campus as they may damage irrigation, drainage, or electrical systems beneath the lawn. Failure to follow this rule will lead to vendor expulsion from the event. Approved alternative methods of securing your tent include: Water barrels, Sand bags, Concrete/cinder block/brick, Metal/plastic weights
- Such items should be weighted to a minimum of 10 pounds per leg/anchor point. PLEASE NOTE: Our quad creates a wind tunnel effect that can be hazardous if proper weights are not used. Additionally, while we do allow siding on pop-up tents, it is not recommended.
- Please note, various spots in the quad may be on slightly uneven terrain. Drainage grates, dips, and various non-level ground may be found so please be sure to bring whatever items you may need to stabilize or level your space.
- No refunds or cancellations. This is a rain or shine event.
- Security will be provided by the Workhouse Arts Center and Fairfax County. Security will be on-site on Saturday from 11am-6pm
- There will be a designated parking lot for vendors.
- Vendors are responsible for leaving the Workhouse facility in the same condition they found it upon their arrival. This includes removing leftover food and drink, décor, rental equipment, trash, personal belongings, and performing other standard and expected cleanup. All trash must be deposited in an appropriate dumpster on campus. Dumpsters can be found behind building 16. Staff will be happy to direct you. No trash should be left next to the dumpsters; a fine of $75 will be required if trash is not properly bagged and removed.
- We value your interest in this welcoming community-focused event on our campus. By participating, please recognize that you will be viewed a representative ambassador of your brand to our attendees, supporting staff, and volunteer team. Workhouse Arts Center expects that all participating vendors exhibit professional and respectful behavior. Workhouse Arts Center reserves the right to remove any attendees, including vendors, that are not behaving appropriately or demonstrated unprofessional language or actions.

PROHIBITED ITEMS:
No: Silly String, Smoke Bombs, Stink Bombs “Snappers”, Radios, AV Equipment, Weapons, Guns, Ammo. No Pets. No drug related items. If it is illegal in Virginia, it is illegal at our festival. The Workhouse is County Property and we must comply with County and State regulations and codes
