1. The focus of day time support is feeding support, weight checks for baby, newborn care guidance, access and referrals to community providers, support your needs as you recover, and prioritize your rest and nourishment. She may meal prep for you, take care of light household tasks, and be a supportive ear.

2. Client and Doula (Kristen) agree to communicate on client's needs and expectations. Expressed expectations is important to the working relationship to the client and Doula (Kristen). Client is welcome to ask questions, ask for advice and resources related to infant care and postpartum healing. The doula (Kristen) agrees to offer their expertise on topics, find answers when necessary and to refer out if the needs are out of the doula's scope of practice.
Client Initial
Postpartum services will be provided at $38 per hour for Monday through Friday. A non-refundable retainer fee of half the contracted package amount is required at the signing of this contract. The retainer fee is applied to the last weeks of service and will be retained if you fail to fulfill the full contract terms. The balance of the contract will be due on the day the doula (Kristen) begins work with the client. Invoice for retainer will be sent within 24 hours of Client's contract signing. The Doula (Kristen) will hold your spot for 48 hours after the invoice for the retainer has been sent to the Client. Failure to pay the invoice by the date provided on the invoice will not guarantee your spot in the Doula's schedule.
Client Initial
Client and Doula (Kristen) are committed to promoting a safe home/work environment in which all those who enter the home will conduct themselves in a civil, respectful, and cooperative manner. Any disrespectful, aggressive or verbal/physical abuse by the client will result in the doula (Kristen) immediately leaving the premise, terminating the contract and forfeit of all fees and retainers paid.
Client Initial
The doula (Kristen) is available to begin the contract at 37 weeks gestation. If the baby arrives before 37 weeks gestation, the doula will try to make arrangements to come earlier or offer a back-up doula if available. Client will contact the doula (Kristen) when baby is born and give the doula (Kristen) at minimum of 48 hours notice of first scheduled shift.
Client Initial
Sometimes a doula will not be able to provide postpartum care services as scheduled, due to unforeseen circumstances (i.e. family emergency or illness). The Doula (Kristen) will make all attempts to schedule an alternate doula to cover the shift or reschedule the postpartum shift.
Client Initial
The client understands that they or another legal guardian must be on the premises at all times during the doula's shift. The doula's (Kristen) liability insurance only covers her services with a parent/guardian present.
Client Initial
The remainder of the postpartum service contract fee will be billed by the Doula (Kristen) on the first day of service and applied to the first weeks of service. Payment must be made upon receipt and is non-refundable.
Client Initial
Failure by the client to cancel the scheduled hours 48 hours prior to the scheduled services will result in being billed for the requested hours. If the doula (Kristen) shows up for a shift and is not able to get into the home after trying to contact the client via text & phone call, she will wait 15 mins and then will leave. The client will be billed for the requested shift. If the doula (Kristen Bindel) is running more than a few minutes late, she will notify you via text or phone call. The doula (Kristen) will either stay later in the shift, if able to, or make up the time coming earlier to the next scheduled shift. (Billing is done in 15 mins increments.)
Client Initial
The Doula (Kristen) does not work holidays (New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Easter, Christmas Eve, Christmas, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, night before Thanksgiving, and Thanksgiving) and the fee is $50/hour for agreed upon holiday hours.
Client Initial
I serve many newborn families and their health is a priority. If your family has a household member that falls ill, you will notify the doula at least 2 hours before the scheduled shift. If you fail to notify the doula within 2 hours of the shift, you will still be billed for the shift. The doula (Kristen) reserves the right to reschedule the shift. If the doula arrives to a shift and was not notified of an ill family member the doula reserves the right to leave immediately and the client will be billed for the scheduled shift. The doula will also notify the family if they or a family member are not feeling well. The shift will be rescheduled.
Client Initial
The Doula (Kristen) is also a Birth Doula, the client understands that a shift may need to be rescheduled due to the unpredictability of birth. If a back-up doula is available, one will be offered to the client or the client has the ability to reschedule the missed shift with their doula (Kristen). The Doula (Kristen) will disclose to the client if there will be any birth clients due during the length of the contract.
Client Initial
In the event of fetal/infant loss, the contract will be canceled and all funds will be returned to the client or sent to a charity of the client's choice in honor of the infant(s). The client will make the decision.
Client Initial
In the event that the Doula (Kristen) needs to pay for parking and/or tolls, the client will be responsible for the fee. This charge will be billed separately.
