THE WHAT -
The Cleaner Columbus Pledge is a voluntary call to action where we come together as a community to end litter and debris throughout the great city of Columbus.
There are many great things that Columbus is known for, including being America’s Opportunity City and one of the best places to live, work, and raise a family. We are a community that attracts talent from all over the U.S. and around the world. There was a time where Columbus was one of the Cleanest cities to live in, let's get back to that!
By taking the Cleaner Columbus Pledge, you agree to the following:
- Dispose of your litter by placing it in a proper refuse container
- Recycle all recyclables
- Make sure your household (or commercial) waste is secure and bagged prior to refuse collection
- Keep your private property and public right-of-way around your property clear of litter and debris
- Properly dispose of cigarette butts
- Pick up litter (if safe) when you see it and place in a refuse container
- Participate in community litter clean-ups
- Encourage your family and friends to join the pledge
