Adult Leadership Needs
Troop 13 needs your help to keep our amazing program running.Below are positions in which we need adults to step up and help. They are sorted by approximate commitment to help you find one that best suits your needs. Many positions do not require being a registered Scouter, so don't let that stop you! Please check any and all positions in which you are interested in learning more about (don't worry this isn't an official commitment, yet!).

Minimal Commitment
These positions can be done with minimal time commitment, about 1 hour a week. Many of them can even be done remote and at your convenience. If you are unsure about taking on responsibility, this can be a great way to get started. While they may not be a major role in the Troop, they are still very important in keeping things running smooth.

Publicity Coordinator (Updates photos on website, connects with media outlets, works with Troop Historian)
Eagle Mentor Coordinator (Ensures that all Life Scouts have an Eagle Mentor, Facilitates an annual Eagle Mentor Training)
Sustainability Coordinator (Leads initiatives to improve the Troops environmental impact)
Merit Badge Counselor (District, not Troop position, but a great way to share your skills and knowledge while maintaining flexible and minimal commitment)
Summer Camp Committee Member (Works with Scoutmaster on the Summer Camp Committee to complete specific tasks in order for Summer Camp to run smooth. Examples include merit badge sign-up, advancement tracking, food coordinating, etc.)
Co-Patrol of the Month Chairman (Works with current patrol of the month chairman to coordinate patrol of the month program).
Troop Instructor and Guide advisor (Works with Troop Instructors and Guides to ensure positions are properly carried out).
Moderate Commitment
These positions either require a little more time, maybe 1-3 hours per week. Not necessarily every week, but maybe busier during certain seasons, or they have a higher level of priority in Troop operations.

Service Coordinator (Coordinates service project schedules, updates info on website, ensures volunteer coverage)
Eagle Court of Honor Coordinator (Leads the Eagle Court of Honor committee in helping Scouts host their Eagle Court of Honor)
Facilities Coordinator (Ensures the the Troop has arrangements for meeting locations and that the location is prepared for the meeting)
1-Day Activity Coordinator(Works with Activities Coordinator and Scoutmaster to help coordinate 1-Day activities)
Chaplain (Promotes and facilitates religious awards for Troop. Works with Chaplains Aide to help them fulfill leadership requirements)
Patrol Advisor (Works with a Patrol to help guide them)
Jr. High Adventure Coordinator (Works with Scouts and other Leaders to plan and deliver Jr. High Adventure)
Significant Commitment
Don't worry, these are not full time jobs, but they do have a higher level of commitment. Some positions may not necessarily have high time commitments, but require more specialized knowledge or have a higher level of importance in Troop operations. Many of these positions are co-managed positions or have sub committee members.

High Adventure Coordinator (Works with the Scoutmaster to coordinate the logistics of an individual trek. Time commitment may be high at times, but can be a temporary/seasonal position).
