2023 IDSOG Stump the Professors

Please read the information below before submitting your case.

The IDSOG Scientific Program Committee is currently accepting cases to be considered for a new "Stump the Professors" event that will be held during the 2023 Annual Meeting on July 27-29, 2023. The selected cases will be presented for discussion at the meeting.

Selected presenters will receive a complimentary meeting registration.

Who is eligible?
Any Medical Student, Fellow, Post-Doctoral Student, or other trainee.

Case Requirements:
Cases involving infectious diseases related to women’s or perinatal health will be considered. Cases with an unusual presentation or complication will be given priority to enhance the chances that your case will “Stump the Professors. Cases submitted should be limited to a 1-page case summary, including final diagnosis. Cases must not exceed one-page, 10-point font, with 1" margins. General format should be a description of the case followed by a section with the final diagnosis and what findings lead to that diagnosis. A final section should describe the clinical significance of the condition and for heightened provider awareness.

Case Selection:
Cases will be evaluated based on quality of submission, unique nature of the presentation and/or complication, and the challenging nature of the case.
