2023 Sparkly Devil Memorial Scholarship application

Applications are now open for the 2023 Sparkly Devil Memorial Scholarship, now in its sixth year! The scholarship builds on the inspirational work of the late Sparkly Devil to foster a stronger burlesque community and to carry on the knowledge and wisdom of burlesque’s living legends. The recipient will receive a full pass to the 2023 BHoF Weekender in Las Vegas, June 1-4; 5 nights at the Orleans Hotel and Casino during the event; free admission to all Finishing School classes; and an opportunity to act as an escort for a burlesque legend through the whole event. Applications close at midnight on Feb 20, 2023.

Write an essay describing what makes you the best candidate for the Sparkly Devil Memorial Weekender Scholarship. Things you may want to discuss include:

- Have you ever been involved in a Legends Challenge event? In what capacity? How did this experience affect you?
- What weakness do you have as a performer that you want to improve?

- What circumstances have a bearing on your need for a scholarship or fellowship? Include special financial obligations or responsibilities, and extenuating personal or family circumstances.
