    Step into a vibrant celebration of patriotism, history, and citrus-bright pride with this year’s parade theme: Orange You Glad It’s America’s Birthday, Celebrating 250 Years! We invite you to honor America’s 250-year journey with creativity, color, and a fresh, playful twist inspired by the iconic orange. From bold red, white, and blue to sunny splashes of orange, this theme blends our nation’s rich heritage with optimism, unity, and celebration. Whether you’re highlighting pivotal moments in American history, hometown pride, community spirit, or the zest of our nation’s future, we want to see your most imaginative interpretation of America’s milestone birthday.

    What Are We Looking For?
    We’re looking for entries that capture the spirit of America—its energy, diversity, and enduring pride—while embracing the fun and festive orange twist of the theme. Think bold, think patriotic, and think celebratory! Showcase historical tributes, American icons, military pride, cultural diversity, hometown heroes, or playful orange-inspired designs that symbolize growth, vitality, and unity.

    Floats, marching bands, drill teams, dance groups, equestrians, comical performers, military units, and all parade participants are encouraged to bring their creativity to life in a way that honors America’s past, celebrates the present, and looks forward to the future.

    Spectators will remember the most unique, spirited, and imaginative entries—so get ready to shine bright and make this 250th birthday celebration unforgettable!

If accepted, information from this application may be used for production, staging, script, and promotional needs. Acceptance notifications will be sent by email.

    Please provide a detailed description of your parade entry (150 words or fewer). Include how the entry will look during the parade, noting any decorations, music, costumes or uniforms, entertainment features, and other unique elements. Also provide a brief overview of the organization submitting the application. This information will be used for the application review process by the committee. If your entry is selected, this information may also be used for the announcer’s script.

  • As the representative of this organization/business and its participating members, I/we hereby understand and agree to accept the risk of bodily injury and/or property damage to me/us or which I/we may incur or cause a third party to incur as a result of my/our participation in the Orange May Parade.  With this understanding, I/we further agree to indemnify, defend, and save harmless the Orange Chamber of Commerce, Orange Chamber Foundation, the City of Orange, Upbeat Parade Productions, LLC, and its elected and appointed officials, board members, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, losses, injuries, suits, and judgments arising from, or in connection with my participation in the parade.  I/we further waive any claims on behalf of my successors, assigns, heirs, executors, and administrators, and any other persons or entities who/which may have a claim based on my/our personal injuries and/or property damage.  I/we understand that segments of the media will be present at the parade and I/we grant an unconditional release for all rights of publications, press, radio, and television present and future, along with all video and photographic rights by virtue of their appearance.  I/we further understand and agree that this saves harmless and indemnification shall apply to and all facilities that the City of Orange may own and/or control. Furthermore, I/we have read and agree to abide by all of the Orange May Parade guidelines and rules, as shown in the pages provided and those to be presented with the participant's information package if my unit is accepted.
