PRE-APPLICATION
You must accept and adhere the following terms and conditions to apply for a club membership:
The club is not entitled to any membership benefits unless all participants are properly registered as Athletes or Non-Athletes BEFORE participating in a practice or event.
Neither the club, nor any of its representatives, is authorized to act as an agent of the JR ISL or AAU or on behalf of the Junior International Surf League or Amateur Athletic Union of the U.S., Inc., including but not limited to contracts, guarantees, membership fee collection or other obligations of any type.
All practices shall be supervised and scheduled.
Club shall not use JR ISL or AAU in the club name as part of an email account, website address or on social media accounts.
Club shall use JR ISL and AAU registered marks only with prior JR ISL and AAU approval.
The club and its members shall abide by the JR ISL and AAU Constitution, By-Laws, National Policies, Sport Rules and Sport Policies.
The terms of membership apply to all athletes, teams, coaches, organization representatives, and all other parties affiliated with the club.

JR ISL/AAU TRADEMARK AGREEMENT
USE OF JR ISL AND AAU TRADEMARKS

The JR ISL and AAU name, mark, seal, logo, and other insignia (all "JR ISL and AAU marks") are protected through trademark registration and are defined as the intellectual property of JR ISL and AAU. All use of the JR ISL and AAU’s intellectual property must have the prior and continued approval of the JR ISL and National AAU. Only those subordinates and affiliated organizations, which are recognized by the JR ISL and National AAU as being in good standing, may use the intellectual property of the JR ISL and AAU. The JR ISL and National AAU may withdraw such approval, in its sole discretion, and shall notify the subject user(s) to cease and desist use of JR ISL and AAU’s intellectual property. Unauthorized use or continued use of any of the intellectual property of the JR ISL and AAU after authorization has been withdrawn shall be a violation of this policy and may subject the member/entity to penalties as set out in the JR ISL and/or AAU Code.

1. Only currently chartered Districts, District Sport Committees of the said Districts, or approved Sport Committees of the JR ISL and National AAU, or any District or National Sport Committee under the direction of the JR ISL and National AAU may use the name JR ISL and AAU in their legal names.

2. There are two (2) levels of clubs within the JR ISL and three (3) levels of clubs within the AAU, which may be considered to be Affiliated Organization(s) of the JR ISL and AAU, subject to the written approval of the JR ISL and AAU, which may be withheld in its sole discretion. Level 1 JR ISL and AAU Affiliated Organization acquires no rights to use JR ISL and AAU’s intellectual property. Level 2 Affiliated Organization may use JR ISL and AAU’s intellectual property for promotion of its organization and/or its licensed JR ISL and AAU events only. Affiliated Organizations may not use the name JR ISL and AAU in their legal names.

3. In the event of any dispute or conflict as to a member’s/entity’s claim(s) to use any of the intellectual property of the JR ISL and AAU, the JR ISL and AAU shall decide and determine same in its sole discretion.

4. The Amateur Athletic Union of the U.S. Inc. has a limited license agreement with the United States Olympic Committee with regard to use of the terminology "Junior Olympics." The AAU does not grant the right to any subordinates, any affiliated organization, or any other entity to use the terminology "Junior Olympics" except as defined in this agreement.

PLEASE NOTE:

Everyone (Athletes and Coaches) participating with your club must be a registered AAU member for the insurance benefits to apply. JR ISL and AAU Club Memberships are not “active” right away. This activation could take up to 10 business days. Club memberships do not become active until all contact(s) listed on the club application is verified as having Non-Athlete (Individual) AAU memberships.
