Greetings,
and thank you for expressing an interest in having your artwork done with me JOHNNY CALICO. I am so immensely grateful for each and everyone of you for your constant support and kindness, with that being said, I would also like to explain my booking process for appointment requests. As appreciative and grateful as I am for the volume of interest and inquiries received, I unfortunately being one person, a family man, along with being an artist, am not able to accommodate every request received as soon as one might wish. Below you will find some guidelines to help with your initial email request for an appointment. Please note that if your email does not include the information below in the message section it will not be considered for scheduling. If there is a question you do not understand or are not sure how to answer, give a best guess and let me know at the end how I can help.
I receive an overwhelmingly large volume of emails, that I try My very best to respond to, when I am not working directly with clients (or during my own personal time) typically emails will receive replies within one week. Unfortunately, I am unable to take on every tattoo request within the time frame a client wishes. My books open and close monthly, and typically I book one to two months at a time only. If you are trying to align your appointment with travel dates please send your email request at two or three months prior (for example send your e-mail before August if you wish to be tattooed in November). Please include your desired time frame so that we may accommodate you the best that we possibly can. Thank you
I am now focusing solely on tattooing my own artwork based on either my original ideas or concepts provided by client (clients idea with description). this means I custom draw everything, and don't copy others artwork(unless the design was specifically drawn for you, and we have artist written consent to use the design), reference pictures are fine and appreciated, but I will draw it in my style. I am extremely fortunate to be approached with so many amazing inquiries and cannot express my appreciation enough. While I would love to take on every request as soon as you wish, it is just not possible with having only so many hours to a day and days to a week, I added some content below to explain how the selection process works.
Tattoo Selection and why one might be rejected:
Appointments are booked one to three months in advance.
Due to the amount of inquiries priority will be given to selective imagery that fits my style, both conceptually and in my personalized illustrative style.
I will give priority to medium to larger sized tattoos as it allows me to add details that I would not be able to include in smaller sized tattoos. If you are interested in a smaller tattoo or something off of a flash sheet, I will try to have you in after I finish my main appointments for the day, but this will largely depend on if time allows it so please include dates you are hoping to have said tattoo done.
Since priority is given to larger appointments I will try to schedule days that are specifically dedicated to small tattoos. I take Walk-ins every Wednesday, and this is a perfect time to get small tattoos. Special events for flash tattoos or flash days will be will be scheduled, that I will have a flash sheet available for selections for these days. Flash days will be announced through social media so please keep an eye out for upcoming events. If you attend one of these events tattoos will be done on a first come first serve basis so please understand if we are not able to get to you there will be another event and we will do our best to accommodate as many people as we can.
Due to only having so much time available, and having a large demand for my time, I do not take walk-ins unless it's a walk in Wednesday. Walk-in Wednesday is the perfect time to skip the wait and get all the small tattoos you desire

The hourly rate is $150, and I have a $100 minimum (doesn't mean I won't do your tattoo, just means you should put more thought into the appointment, and possibly get a couple small tattoos)
A minimum $150 for half day, $300 for full day, and $400 for extended day (unless prior discussed) deposit is due at the time of booking. This deposit will go towards the total cost of your tattoo. Under no circumstances are children under 18 allowed in the tattoo area this includes infants and toddlers. Please make alternative arrangements for your children.

If you personally cannot make it to your appointment, you can not give your appointment to someone else. I have a long list of people waiting for a spot to open up.
