Registration for Trial Workshop
Now in its third year, Accelerate Ensemble is a performance ensemble for young adults with disability who want to explore their own arts practice and work together to push the boundaries of what theatre can DO.
If you’re interested in participating in the 2023 Accelerate Ensemble, please register and attend a trial workshop to get a hands-on experience of what the program will be like.
When: Wednesdays, 10am to 1pm
Where: Newcastle City Hall (290 King St, Newcastle) - Newcastle Room.

Important information for prospective participants
What: Accelerate Ensemble is an ongoing creative program, consisting of weekly workshops/rehearsals throughout 2023. Selected participants will receive training in performing and making theatre, leading to the creation and presentation of an exciting new performance work in the later half of the year.
When: Wednesdays starting from 8th Feb 2023 (excl. school holidays and the first week of each school term)
Where: Newcastle City Hall (290 King St, Newcastle) - Newcastle Room
Who: Young adults with disability who are:
-Aged between 18 and 30
-Living and/or working in Newcastle (or surrounding LGAs)
Cost: FREE!
No experience required!
Each workshop will be led by Tantrum’s Creative Director, Nel Kentish, and Associate Producer, Hannah Armstrong, with additional assistance provided by Civic Theatre / City of Newcastle staff. We understand the importance of working with participants’ existing supports to establish an inclusive and dynamic creative space.
