Thank you for your interest in the Spring 2025 Belmont Songwriter Showcase which will be held on February 15th! This event is comprised of two competitive four-person writers’ rounds judged by industry professionals. One winner will be selected from each round and given a spot to perform in the 2025 Best of the Best Showcase on April 5. 

Any and all Belmont songwriters are encouraged to apply!

Showcase will also be hosting non-competitive writers’ rounds throughout the semester to provide additional performance opportunities to Belmont’s songwriter community.

REQUIREMENTS: 

Must be enrolled as a full-time student at Belmont. 

Lyrics must be Belmont appropriate and family-friendly. No cursing. Remember this is open to the public.

IMPORTANT: 

If you are selected to play in the writer's round, you are expected to play the song you submitted and an additional original song. The winners of the round will be selected by industry judges and will also receive a space to perform at the "Best of the Best" Showcase at the end of the spring semester (2025).

We ask that those selected to perform in the competitive Writers’ Showcase make themselves available the entire day of the show. If needed, a Provost excuse will be available.
