General Field Trips
Thank you for considering the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks for a field trip! Self Guided Field Trips are offered year round Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm. Guided and Station Field Trips are 90 mintues and are offered March-May and September-November on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 9am and 3pm. Weekend exceptions can be arranged depending on the size of your group.

Education at the BGO is hands-on, interactive, and student-centered. We use the garden as a teaching tool to explore environmental science.
Self-Guided Field Trip: no limit on number of students
- $3 per student

- Guided by tour pamphlet
- Walk your own group through the garden using the provided map and tour pamphlet to learn about each garden.

Guided Field Trip: 45-60 students
- $4 per student
- 60 - 90 minutes
- 45-60 students
- Guided by tour guide
- Subjects may cover vegetables, plant adaptations, life cycles, butterfly gardening, native plants, and cool plant facts while enticing the senses and walking through the 12 gardens.

Station Field Trip: 60-75 students
- $7 per student
- 90 minutes
- 60-75 Students
- Classes will rotate through stations at the garden
  Different Earth Science and Environmental Science activities and lessons throughout each garden. Lessons and activities cover caterpillar camouflage, freshwater resources, animal habitats, greenhouses, and many more.
