Goal
The goal of the College’s admissions processes is to determine your potential to succeed in and gain benefit from the studies for which you are applying. We seek to do this in a way which gives appropriate support to you as an applicant and, potentially, as a student.
Both our undergraduate programmes are designed with a vocational aim of equipping students with the qualities and skills for graduate level employment in Christian contexts and in roles requiring similar characteristics, including, in the case of the Applied Theology (Youth and Community Work) programme, roles in the youth work sector. If you would like to learn more about these aims, they are laid out in full in the programme specifications. For further details, please contact the Admissions Department.
Purpose of questions
Most of the questions asked below enable the College to assess your suitability for the programme being applied for and the vocational futures for which it is intended to prepare people. In addition to those questions, as a UK Higher Education Institution registered with the Office for Students, we are also obliged to ask all applicants about other personal details. This ensures that we can meet the highest standards as a college, particularly in supporting people from disadvantaged backgrounds and ensuring that we meet all regulatory requirements relating to equalities and diversity.

Data may be retained post-graduation for statistical reporting and marketing purposes. All information you provide will be kept securely, and will be kept no longer than necessary and no statistical information that would identify you as an individual will be published. Should your application be successful we will use your information in line with your student terms and conditions, which we ask you agree to when accepting an offer from Moorlands College. If you do not commence your studies at Moorlands College, we will hold data obtained during the application process for two years after the intended start year of the course for statistical reporting purposes. All information you provide will be stored and processed securely, in line with our privacy notice.
