      • Coughing for any reason

    Other Charges (These rarely apply):

      • You will need to pay this fee to get back into our schedule, or to keep any future appointments you may have already scheduled.
      • It covers wasted time and materials in setting up and tearing down the tattoo station.
      • This fee does not go toward your tattoo.
    • Ink Dot Test: $90
      • If you have any concerns about ink allergies or how certain colors may appear on your skin, We're happy to tattoo test dots. These small dots can be arranged in a way that looks nice to you, placed in a discrete area, or arranged to easily be covered up by your planned tattoo.

What you can expect from us:

    1.   We genuinely appreciate and respect the trust you’re placing in us. We put our heart and soul into what we do and give the best we can to every client we serve. We continually work and study to improve our abilities and knowledge both as artists in general and as tattooists specifically.

    2.   We use a combination of work procedures, cleaning and sanitation processes, and barriers to ensure that you are safe from catching any kind of infection in our studio. We keep up to date on our osha blood-borne pathogen and cross contamination certifications. We are happy to discuss any questions or concerns with you at any time before, during, or after your tattoo session.

    3.   We value your comfort as well as your safety. Please let your artist know if you are uncomfortable in any way. We're happy to do what we can, whether it has to do with your sitting position, what music we’re listening to, or some other thing. It’s best for our work as well to have you feeling comfortable and stable, so please don’t be shy. If you are concerned about (or struggling with) pain at any time, please let your artist know and they will gladly help you deal with it.

    4.   We do our best to respond to messages, voicemails, etc. as timely as we can, but being a small operation, we sometimes take a few days. The fastest way to communicate with the studio is by text message on the studio phone (970-880-5656).

    5.   We will always do our best to work efficiently in order to get you scheduled, to give you the best value we can for your money, and to get your tattoo finished as soon as is reasonably possible for you and your artist. However, we are not willing to sacrifice quality, comfort, artistic process, service of other clients, or our own ability to focus. As such, We are not willing to rush any part of our work or schedule.

    What we expect from you:

    1.   Show up to your appointment feeling good.

    • Be ready to focus and participate while we consult or figure out any last minute practicalities and get you stenciled, etc.
    • Be ready to relax into your happy place while you’re getting tattooed. (This is not about zoning completely out. It’s always important to maintain your situational awareness while you get tattooed.) If you have any questions about how best to do this, we are happy to help.
    • Be well rested and fed. Bring a lidded beverage and a NON-MESSY snack.

    2.   Be sure of the direction we are going with your tattoo before making your appointments. Changing your mind after the fact can in some cases affect our scheduling, and if we have already started your artwork it will cost you another deposit.

    3.   Take an active responsibility for your tattoo. Be sure your artist understands what you’re looking for and that you understand how they plan to approach your tattoo. Speak up immediately if anything seems weird or unclear. Always triple check spelling and/or numbers!

    Hard Rules:

Failure to follow these rules by you or your guest may, at the studio's sole discretion, lose you your appointment(s), deposit, and/or our willingness to work with you at all. These things are rarely an issue, but they are non-negotiable and this is your warning.

    • Speaking or behaving in a disrespectful manner in the tattoo studio - especially in the presence of another tattoo client - is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to degrading comments or epithets pertaining to bodies, race, nationality, beliefs, culture, gender, identity, or sexual orientation.
      • This isn’t about saying fuck words or low-brow banter, etc. (being a tattoo shop, the common vernacular of the working class is the native tongue:)
      • It’s about respect for others, especially considering those who may feel vulnerable for any reason.
    • Do not show up buzzed or sick. If we think you might be either of these, we will send you away.
    • Do not bring children, animals, or messy food into the studio. (A sippy cup or other beverage with a lid and/or a non-messy snack is encouraged.)
    • Refrain from touching any objects or surfaces related to the tattooing process. Do not sit on or touch the tattoo chair or bed until directed.
    • No animals are allowed in the studio. Unfortunately this also includes most service animals, due to health and sanitation risks involved with having an animal of any kind or size in our single-room studio. If you believe that your service animal may be an exception, please discuss your situation with Joshua prior to setting your appointment.

    Other Info:

    • During longer tattoo sessions we often take breaks at approximately 2 hour intervals. We stop the meter and do not charge you during these breaks. You can take additional breaks if you need to. We leave the meter running and continue charging you for your additional breaks.
      • Taking breaks is not a practical way of dealing with tattoo pain. It increases your sensitivity, slows down your tattoo process, and can disrupt your artist's focus/momentum. If you are concerned about (or struggling with) pain at any time, please let your artist know and they will gladly help you deal with it. We want you to be as comfortable as you can.

    • It can be hard to predict how long a given tattoo will take (i.e. how much it will cost).  The bigger or more complex the piece, the more difficult this can be. We'll do our best to give you an idea of what to expect, but can’t commit to a quoted price.
      • If you have a specific budget limit for your tattoo, let your artist know at your consultation. We are happy to strategize with you. This may involve limiting the size or complexity of your design, or perhaps spreading out your appointments.
      • It’s usually easy to keep a given session under a specific time/cost.

    • We generally do not create full renders of tattoo designs before the appointment.

    • Our process often involves some figuring out on the day of your tattoo. We prepare stencils ahead of time when practical, as well as sketches and/or other visual references, to give you the best practical idea of what the plan is. Always feel free to ask for clarification if you’re not able to picture what your artist is planning.

    • We will have your artwork prepped for your tattoo appointment, not before. If you have any concerns about the design, or if changes need to be made, we can discuss and deal with them together at the beginning of your appointment. We’ll never pressure you to get a tattoo that you’re not completely into.

    • On large (or multi-session) tattoos, you will get the best value for your money by sitting for 3 to 5 hours at a time. We generally get up to full speed between 1 and 2 hours into the session and cruise until about 5 hours, at which point your artist may start to fatigue and slow down. Many clients for various reasons are also ready to quit by about 5 hours in. This is of course a generalization, but worth considering for both our time and money.
