Campbell’s/Depot/Grandstand

We reserve the right to inspect bags, purses, pockets, wallets, backpacks, hats, socks, shoes, fanny packs, and any container brought in while on duty. It is advisable that you only carry what money you would need for personal purchases each day.

While on duty we insist that our employees treat the customer pleasantly, with respect and in a business-like manner.

 

We expect the employee to dress tastefully. Therefore: 

Hair/Head Coverings

• Long hair pulled back into a ponytail.
• Unsightly facial hair will not be acceptable
• No head covering other than Campbell’s/Depot/ Grandstand hats or visors will be allowed while on duty:
• Hats and visors will be worn correctly at all times while on duty

Clothing

• ONLY the Campbell’s/Depot/Grandstand shirts will he allowed while on duty.
• Pants and shorts will be pulled to the waist
• NO SANDALS, FLIP-FLOPS OR OPEN TOED SHOES (A good choice would be comfortable tennis shoes and having multiple pair to interchange.)
• We expect our employees to be clean and showered every day.
• When off work your uniform needs to come off if walking around the grounds

Electronic Equipment

• No cell phones, tablets, or head phones will be allowed while on duty.

Conduct while working

• No free food will be given out. An inventory is taken daily.
• No friends or relatives will be allowed to hang out around the stand while you are working.

Responsibility of the Employees

• Be on time every day
• Do the job assign to you with a smile
• Sign in and out on your time card everyday
• Get your entrance ticket every day when you clock out for the next day. It will be your responsibility to get in if lost or forgotten.
• Let us know before the fair starts of any hours or days you cannot be present.
• A business card will be given to you to use in case of an emergency. DO NOT LOSE IT.

— NOT FOLLOWING ANY OF THE ABOVE ARE GROUNDS FOR IMMEDIATE TERMINATION —

We provide admission tickets to the fairgrounds each day.
BUT IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO GET YOUR NEXT DAY TICKET WHEN YOU CLOCK OUT.

We also have 1/2 price meal tickets available while you are on duty, but *if you quit before the end of the Fair or are fired for any reason above, you will be charged the price of all entrance tickets and full price for any food ticket used while on duty at any of the Campbell’s / Depot / Grandstand locations.

We want to inform you about a change in the Iowa Law that took effect on July 1, 2009. It prohibits convicted sex offenders of minors from working or volunteering at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. It is the responsibility of the hiring employer to conduct background checks on all employees/volunteers working for us at the Iowa State Fair. The safety of all in attendance at the Iowa State Fair is the most important consideration in the appointment of a worker for Campbell’s Concessions Inc. / The Depot. To help safeguard all persons and pursuant to Iowa law, Campbell’s Concessions Inc. / The Depot will now be conduction background checks on employees.
I hereby give my permission for Concessions Inc. / The Depot to obtain information relating to my criminal history. I understand that this record will be used, in part, to determine my eligibility for employment. I also understand that as long as I remain an employee with Concessions Inc. / The Depot, background checks may be repeated at any time.
I hereby release and discharge Concessions Inc. / The Depot from and against any and all causes of action, liabilities, and claims resulting from the investigation of my background in connection with my application to be an employee.
I understand that Concessions Inc. / The Depot has agreed that, if we choose not to extend an offer of employment position to me based upon the information obtained pursuant to this authorization, I will be notified of this result via telephone or written correspondence.
