    o   Essay on citizenship (200 word max)

    o   Work resume (if applicable)

    o   Certified college transcript - three college semesters (if applicable)

    o   Certified high school transcript (if currently a high school student, up to seventh semester)

    o   College acceptance notification or written confirmation of fall semester enrollment, including the name and address of the college and financial officer.

    o   Completed checklist and signed application – due Friday, April 17, 2026

     

  • SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS PROGRAM

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

    (Please read carefully and initial below.)

     

    The Shasta Association of REALTORS® is proud to support the pursuit of higher education of our REALTOR® members or his or her immediate family member, and pursuant to the Shasta Association of REALTORS® Scholarship Program Policy, the applicants MUST meet the following eligibility requirements:

     A.  New Applicants:

    •  Be a REALTOR® member OR an immediate family member of a REALTOR® member ONLY.  An “immediate” family member is defined as spouses, children, parents, grandparents, and grandchildren;
    • Be a high school graduate, a high school senior who will graduate upon completion of his or her senior year, or a college student who has completed at least a semester of undergraduate school or trade/technical school;
    • Have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale; and
    • Provide proof of his or her acceptance or fall semester enrollment in trade/technical school or an accredited college as a full-time student (12 semester credit hours or equivalent quarter hours), including the name and address of the school/college and financial officer.

     B.  Returning Applicants/Awardees:

    •  Be a REALTOR® member OR an immediate family member of a REALTOR® member ONLY.  An “immediate” family member is defined as spouses, children, parents, grandparents, and grandchildren;
    • Be a full-time trade/technical school or college student (12 semester credit hours or equivalent quarter hours);
    • Have maintained a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale;
    • Provide proof of his or her attendance in the form of the official grade posting.  (In the event of a withdrawal from courses, documentation indicating withdrawal and justification will be required.); and
    • Provide the name and address of the college and financial officer.

     C.  All Applicants:

    • Scholarships will NOT be awarded for post-graduate education;
    • May re-apply for successive scholarships on an annual basis for up to a maximum of four years;
    • All awarded scholarship funds MUST be used during the fall semester, and failure to do so will necessitate the return of said funds to the Shasta Association of REALTORS®;
    • Applications not meeting the eligibility requirements will be automatically disqualified; and
    • Incomplete applications, including failure to submit ALL of the required supporting documentation, will be automatically disqualified.

    IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:

     ·         All applications must be received by the Shasta Association of REALTORS® by close of business on Friday, April 17, 2026

     

    ·         Upon acceptance of your scholarship application, you will receive an email or standard mail notification of your scheduled interview appointment.  All applicant interviews will be scheduled and conducted in person or via phone on (To be announced).

  • 2.  Letters of Recommendations

  • High School Students: Please furnish three letters. Two from current or past high school instructors, plus one current letter from non-family member.

    Returning College or Trade School applicants, please furnish four letters. Three current letters from college instructors/Counselor, plus one current letter from a non-family member.

  • 12. Returning Applicants Only.

    An important obligation in accepting a Shasta Association of REALTORS® scholarship award is a commitment in which your college or university is located. The Scholarship Committee members will eagerly look forward to receiving from you an essay relating your experience. The essay shall accompnay your completed application is due no late than Friday, April 17, 2026. However, it is highly recommended that you find the organization you will work with as soon after arrival as possible, as such a connectdion may be beneficial in establishing relationships and familiarity with your surrounds.
