The Washington County Camporee takes place at the Stem Adventure Center - a Girl Scout owned, private camp. We're the only group on the site - it's amazing! Click on the link below to see photos of the site.
Stem Adventure Center, 2665 Crosier Rd SE, Laconia, IN 47135
Girls will be sleeping in air-conditioned buildings until capacity is met, then our oldest girls will move to tents. Girls will play on the adventure playground, challenge themselves on the teams course, and our girls who are at least 11 years old will climb to new heights on the high ropes course. We'll practice our outdoor skills, hike, shoot slingshots, and girls 4th grade up will do archery. There's even a slip & slide to cool us back down!
Date: Friday, June 5th to Sunday, June 7th
Location: Stem Adventure Center
Check-In: You have the option of checking your girl in at Salem or driving her directly to camp.
- Option 1 - Bradie Shrum Elementary Parking Lot - 4:30 to 5:00
- Option 2 - Stem Adventure Center - 6:00 to 6:30
Check-Out: Same options as check-in, but the times are a little different.
- Option 1 - Bradie Shrum Elementary Parking Lot - 5:30 to 6:00
- Option 2 - Stem Adventure Center 4:30 to 5:00
Tagalongs: If you want to volunteer and come camping with your girl, we'd love to have you! Your other children are also welcome - must be potty trained. They'll be able to participate in the activities with the same age restrictions as the girls.
Costs:
- Girl Scouts - $50 per girl
- Tagalongs - $40 per child
- Adults - FREE! You'll pay your way with sweat equity helping at camp. You will have to be a registered Girl Scout Volunteer and complete your background check. We'll help you with this.

Joyce Seymour Leadership Fund: This fund was started by a dedicated group of volunteers to provide girls with outdoor experiences. It is only available for Girl Scouts, not tagalongs. You must fill out the application for your girl by April 30th.
Packing List: A packing list will be provided after the registration deadline. It will be emailed and texted to the information provided below.
