    Our job positions have different qualifications and schedules. If you wish to apply for more than 1 position you will need to complete the application for each position which interests you.
    • Pet Resort Boarding / Daycare - Student / Part Time 
    • The following are ESSENTIAL qualifications and/or abilities for this position:

      • Available and responsible to work the schedule assigned (excessive truancy or tardiness is disruptive to patient care and cannot be accommodated)
      • Read, write legibly, and communicate clearly in English
      • Enter data into a computer using proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation
      • Withstand exposure to weather including sunshine, heat, humidity, rain, snow, ice, and freezing temperatures at repeated 5-10 minute intervals to leash walk dogs outdoors year around
      • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
      • Repetitive standing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, and lifting
      • Grasping, holding, and manipulating objects varying from small and fine to large and heavy with both hands
      • Work energetically on your feet for 10 hours per day
      • Physical strength and dexterity to restrain pets who may struggle, scratch, or bite (with training)
      • Emotional control to remain calm and compassionate with pets reacting to fear or pain
      • Mental and emotional ability to multi-task and manage stressful and chaotic situations
      • View physical symptoms or medical problems, read medical instruments, and follow handwritten instructions

    • The following are ESSENTIAL qualifications and/or abilities for this position:

      • Completion of a high school degree or further education. NOTE: College students are encouraged to apply. High school students will not be considered for this position, but may apply for the student position at the Pet Resort.
      • Available and responsible to work the schedule assigned (excessive truancy or tardiness is disruptive to patient care and cannot be accommodated)
      • Read, write legibly, and communicate clearly in English

    • The following are ESSENTIAL qualifications and/or abilities for this position:

      • Graduate or senior student from an AVMA accredited training school or program with an associates degree in animal health or veterinary technology or equivalent
      • Successful completion of national and state veterinary technology board exams or eligibility to take exams after graduation
      • Current MO state license or eligibility to take exam after graduation
      • Available and responsible to work the schedule assigned (excessive truancy or tardiness is disruptive to patient care and cannot be accommodated)
      • Read, write legibly, and communicate clearly in English
      • Enter data into a computer using proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation
      • Type 35 wpm
      • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds

    • Pet Resort Boarding / Daycare - Student / Part Time PT.2 
    • Part time / Student Pet Resort employees must be willing and able to work the following days and hours:

      • 2-4 shifts per week on weekdays from 1 or 3 PM until 7 PM. Which days and whether the shift starts at 1 or 3 will be dependent on school schedule.
      • If class schedule or availability allows, students may also work occasional full day shifts from 6:30 or 7 AM until 6 PM
      • Saturday shifts from 7 AM until 6 PM at least once or twice per month
      • Sunday shifts from 7 AM until 12 PM and 3 PM until 6 PM at least once or twice per month
      • MUST WORK A HALF DAY ON EVERY HOLIDAY INCLUDING MEMORIAL DAY, 4TH OF JULY, LABOR DAY, THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS, AND NEW YEARS. You will be assigned to work either the morning or the afternoon on the day of the holiday plus any weekend days that adjoin the holiday. You may not request off on these holidays or the weekends that adjoin them. No exceptions!
      • MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK PAST SHIFT ENDING TIMES if pets need care or other work needs completed
      • The actual days and hours scheduled will be dependent on class schedules and/or employee availability and are posted approximately 4 weeks in advance
      • During the summer or other class breaks students may be able to pick up additional hours depending upon availability.

      NOTE: If you are not consistently and reliably available to work for these hours, or if you cannot commit to working a half day on all of the holidays listed, please do not apply for the position.

    • Compensation

    • Part time employees will be paid an hourly wage with variable hours per week. Benefits for part time employees include the following:

      • Double the normal hourly rate for hours worked on a holiday

    • Pet Resort employees must be willing and able to work the following days and hours:

      • Monday through Saturday shifts from 6:30 or 7 AM until 6 PM
      • Monday through Friday shifts from 1 or 3 PM until 7 PM
      • Sunday shifts from 7 AM until 12 PM and 3 PM until 6 PM
      • MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK EVERY OTHER SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
      • MUST WORK A HALF DAY ON EVERY HOLIDAY INCLUDING MEMORIAL DAY, 4TH OF JULY, LABOR DAY, THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS, AND NEW YEARS. You will be assigned to work either the morning or the afternoon on the day of the holiday plus any weekend days that adjoin the holiday. You may not request off on these holidays or the weekends that adjoin them. No exceptions!
      • MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK PAST SHIFT ENDING TIMES if pets need care or other work needs completed
      • Employees will be off at least 1-2 full days each week including every other Sunday
      • The actual days and hours scheduled are posted approximately 4 weeks in advance

      NOTE: If you are not consistently and reliably available for these hours on a year around basis, or if you cannot commit to working a half day on all of the holidays listed, please do not apply for the position.

    • Veterinary Assistant - PT 2 
    • Vet assistants must be willing and able to work the following days and hours:

      • Monday through Friday shifts from 7 or 8 AM until 6 or 7 PM
      • Monday through Friday shifts from 1 or 3 PM until 6 or 7 PM
      • Saturdays shifts from 8 AM until 4 PM
      • MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK PAST SHIFT ENDING TIMES if patients need medical care or other work needs completed
      • MUST BE AVAILABLE AND WILLING TO WORK EVERY SATURDAY unless approved off in advance for a vacation day
      • Assistants are off on Sundays and at least one other full day per week
      • The actual days and hours scheduled are posted approximately 4 weeks in advance

      NOTE: If you are applying for a part time or student position you must be a High School graduate. (High school students may apply for the Pet Resort part time position.) We welcome college students enrolled in pre-vet or pre-vet tech programs who are seeking veterinary experience. We will attempt to work around student schedules, but in order to be considered you must be available every Saturday and some of the Mon-Fri shifts listed above.

    • Registered Veterinary Technician - Full Time PT 2 
    • Veterinary technicians must be willing and able to work the following days and hours:

      • Monday through Friday shifts from 7 or 8 AM until 6 or 7 PM
      • Saturdays shifts from 7:30 or 8 AM until 4 PM
      • MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK PAST SHIFT ENDING TIMES if patients need medical care or other work needs completed
      • MUST BE AVAILABLE AND WILLING TO WORK 2-3 SATURDAYS per month when needed
      • Techs are off on Sundays and at least one other full day per week
      • The actual days and hours scheduled are posted approximately 4 weeks in advance

      NOTE: If you are not consistently and reliably available during these hours, please do not apply for the position.

    • Veterinary Receptionist - Full Time PT2 
    • Receptionists must be willing and able to work the following days and hours:

      • Monday through Friday shifts from 7 or 8 AM until 6 or 7 PM
      • Saturdays shifts from 8 AM until 4 PM
      • MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK PAST SHIFT ENDING TIMES if patients need medical care or other work needs completed
      • MUST BE AVAILABLE AND WILLING TO WORK EVERY SATURDAY unless approved off in advance for a vacation day
      • Receptionists are off on Sundays and at least one other full day per week
      • The actual days and hours scheduled are posted approximately 4 weeks in advance

    • Full time employees will be paid an hourly wage and scheduled 30-40 hours per week. Benefits for full time employees include the following:
