We are currently giving away free yard trees in neighborhoods highlighted in green. Is your request for a tree in the highlighted area?
1. Trees must be planted on private property (yards, gardens, etc.) within the tree planting zones listed above.
2. Trees must be planted in the ground and not kept in their containers.
3. You are responsible for planting and caring for the tree. We will provide resources and guidelines for planting and caring for your new tree.
4. Trees are distributed in 5-gallon containers and are typically 3-6 feet tall.
Because your address falls outside the green planting zones on our FUF Planting Map, you, unfortunately, won't be eligible to participate in this spring's pilot program.
If we receive more funding for the program, we will invite interested residents to a future Adopt-A-Yard-Tree giveaway event. Subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on Social Media to get regular updates from us.
Here is a list of the tree species that are available for adoption:
Trees will be given away first-come, first-served at our Adopt-A-Yard Tree events.
