FINANCIAL AID STATEMENT

While we understand that each family bears the primary responsibility for financing a child's education cost, we also recognize the financial burden created by the high costs of providing quality chinuch.

The Yeshiva of Cherry Hill therefore provides financial aid to families that require, and can demonstrate, a financial need. Please understand that the cost of educating each child is extremely high and relies heavily on our fundraising efforts. Every dollar awarded in financial aid must be fundraised by the school.

The tuition committee will work diligently to make the proper determinations and appreciates your patience throughout this very sensitive process.

The Yeshiva will provide information and guidance where necessary to prospective and current parents on all aspects of its financial aid process.

FINANCIAL AID PROCESS

Online Application: Families applying for financial aid will be required to complete an online financial aid form by visiting www.ftiyeshiva.org/aid.

Please read and follow all instructions carefully. Incomplete applications or insufficient information will not be able to be reviewed by the committee.

Financial Aid Review: Once the application has been submitted, the tuition committee will review the application and supporting documentation, and come to a determination. That will then be sent to the family for approval or the opportunity for further appeal.

Appeals: Families may request a further review of the tuition assistance decision by filling out an appeal form at www.ftiyeshiva.org/appeal and submitting any additional material and information that may have been overlooked or unclear on the application, or material events that transpired since the financial aid application was completed. The committee will then reassess the situation based on the information provided.

GIVE-OR-GET CONTRIBUTION – SCHOLARSHIP FUND

While the Yeshiva accepts the primary responsibility for raising the necessary funds, we ask that parents who require significant scholarship partner with us in helping to cover a portion of the resulting shortfall. The REQUIRED Give-or-Get contribution amount will be determined on a case-by-case basis for all families who are receiving Financial Aid.

Give-or-Get Contributions can be paid through donations or solicitations throughout the year. The Yeshiva usually has one major Charidy campaign annually and it’s a great way to raise Give-or-Get funds. Additionally, parnes hayom is a great opportunity to solicit family and friends to reach your give or get goals.

POLICY
1. Families applying for financial aid will need to submit a new application each year, regardless of any prior year’s awards.
2. Only tuition, room and board, and transportation are eligible for Financial Aid.
3. All Financial Aid applicants are required to provide a credit card on file for all additional fees and charges. Expenses such as trips, seforim, special programs, and incidentals will be charged to the credit card on file and are not eligible for reduction. Charges will only be made after notifying you in advance.
4. Financial aid applications will be processed only if:
  - Parent’s previous year tuition obligations are current, or a payment plan has been set up.
  - TADS Enrollment has been completed
  - The Financial Aid application is complete with all supporting financial documents

FAFSA (Beis Medrash)

Income-based grant for classes where college credits are given towards degrees. Students in Beis Medrash apply through Chofetz Chaim Yeshiva’s College: RSA.

To apply: https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.

Be sure to select the upcoming school year and use the school code 003978.

All Beis Medrash talmidim requesting financial aid must first fill out FAFSA before their financial aid application can be reviewed by the committee.
