Volunteers are needed to assist FFPA members in staging our 75th Flambeau-Diamond Jubilee parade. All interested persons or groups interested in volunteering, please contact Salvador Gutierrez, Volunteer Coordinator, at salvadorgutierrez@satx.rr.com. Volunteers are needed for set up and tear down of Command Center, assist Section Captains, ushers, banner carriers (will walk the parade), etc. Additional information regarding shifts, duties and responsibilities will be provided. All potential volunteers will need to be identified prior to parade day to better plan areas that may need additional assistance. A database of volunteers’ names, assignments and duties will be created. No walk-ins will be accepted.
Attendee Information: Event Date: Saturday, April 29, 2023 Event Time: Parade start time: 7:30 PM (Volunteers should try to arrive no later than 2 PM since SAPD will begin closing streets at 3 PM. A Volunteer Meeting will be held at 5 PM tentatively.) Event Address: Forming Area-San Antonio College Parking Lot 14 at the corner of N. Main Avenue and Dewey Street. Upon arrival, sign in at the Volunteers tent for instructions. Free parking is available in Parking Garage #1 on the campus. Use parking levels 3 and above. Volunteer age: 18. Some schools send volunteers under 18. Those volunteers are welcomed but must have adult supervision at all times. Upon request, a certificate of community service for 7 hours will be issued.
