We are seeking an experienced, proactive leader to join our team as the Clothing Department Manager in our Logan location. This role is responsible for leading all aspects of daily operations while driving sales, merchandising standards, and overall customer satisfaction.
As an active and visible presence on the sales floor, you will lead, coach, and develop team members to ensure they are knowledgeable in product features, merchandising standards, and service expectations. You will set the tone for a high-performing team by reinforcing accountability and maintaining a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service experiences.
In addition to team leadership, you are accountable for the visual and operational execution of the department. This includes maintaining high standards of merchandising and attention to detail, ensuring displays are organized, full, and aligned with company directives. You will also oversee the efficient flow of freight from the backroom to the sales floor, prioritizing timely processing, accurate inventory placement, and overall floor readiness.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of 9–10 in clothing sales and processing to achieve sales goals and deliver excellent customer service.
- Manage schedules, training, and ongoing team development to drive engagement and performance.
- Oversee apparel processing, including tagging, hanging, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor.
- Maintain high visual merchandising standards and ensure the department is organized, fully stocked, and on-brand.
- Monitor inventory, coordinate replenishment, and prepare the department for promotions and events.
- Build strong customer relationships through knowledgeable, attentive service and product expertise.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, loss prevention, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Foster a positive, team-focused work environment centered on accountability, collaboration, and growth.
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age with retail management or supervisory experience preferred; clothing or general retail background a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and required sales events.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Proactive, disciplined, and able to work independently or collaboratively under pressure.
- Well-developed organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and delegation skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of apparel merchandising, retail operations, and ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
Helpful
- Previous retail or supervisory experience, ideally in clothing or general merchandise.
- Customer service experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Knowledge of apparel brands, trends, and merchandising best practices.
- Experience with styling, fit, and product knowledge across multiple clothing categories.
- Genuine interest in fashion, performance apparel, and seasonal trends.
- Familiarity with inventory management, visual merchandising, and floor presentation.
- Ability to learn and retain product knowledge quickly to train and coach team members.
