  • ACMEA is preparing to begin contract negotiations for our bargaining unit. In order to make sure we hear from every voice, we are asking you to complete a contract survey. The results will be used to develop proposals and identify who would like to be part of the bargaining committee.

As the process moves forward, we will hold regular meetings to provide updates. Once the negotiations are complete, we will then hold a series of informational meetings at which time you will be asked to vote on your new contract!

  • We are going to start by asking for some basic information about you.

    All information is confidential.

  • Next, ACMEA needs to know if you would like to participate in the contract negotiations process.

  • Now, please help us prioritize your contract requests.

  • 12. ACMEA Board members (President, VP, Treasurer, Secretary, and Directors) are volunteers and do not receive release time from work. As such, they are currently unable to conduct site visits, engage with members, interface with politicians, or address any operational needs during regular business hours. They can only conduct these activities on their personal time. This limitation significantly impedes our union's effectiveness, leads to burnout, and is not sustainable.

In order to become a stronger union and align ACMEA with the way our members want us to function, the ACMEA Board is considering the following:

The establishment of a pool of hours reserved for use by the Board. These hours would be accrued by deducting two hours (not days) per person per year from everyone in the bargaining unit, whether someone pays dues or not.
