Rescue Dog Adoption Application
  • Dia's Legacy Dog Adoption Application

  • Dia's Legacy is an all-volunteer, non-profit, animal welfare organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of stray, neglected and abused animals. Dia's Legacy is completely funded through fundraising efforts and public donations. All of our pets receive complete medical care, which includes deworming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering for adult dogs, and microchipping prior to their adoption.

  • This questionnaire is designed to help Dia's Legacy and yourself determine if a specific dog is the right one for you and your household. All adopting parties are required to complete this form prior to adoption. Dia's Legacy reserves the right to deny any adoption based on answers to this questionnaire and/or interviews prior to adoptions!

Before applying for a dog still in Macedonia, please ensure that your family is fine with not meeting the dog before adoption. The majority of our dogs only travel to UK/EU once they have found their forever homes.

We can home our dogs with families with children under 8 years old ONLY if you have good recent dog experience. we can only home our dogs to homes with direct secure garden access –with some exceptions with dogs that we are sure can live in apartments.

If your application passes initial checks, one of our volunteer home checkers will be in contact with you in the following days to arrange a virtual home check.

If you pass the home check, you can then reserve a dog by paying 50 percent of the adoption fee non-refundable.

A contract will be sent to you and the remaining adoption fee requested closer to the travel date.

The dogs in Macedonia are then driven for 2-3 days to the UK. We aim to transport run every month.

Your garden or the outside safe area will need to be 100% ENCLOSED with a MINIMUM 5-foot high fencing/walling.

Many valuable hours are wasted by applicants with no intention of modifying their gardens to meet these requirements.

Please, make the process as easy as possible for our VOLUNTEER home checkers. They are a small team and have a lot of applications to check through.
