Pinecone Book Award 2023 – Application

Books published prior to 2023, do not qualify.

In addition to completing this application and paying the application fee, send two (2) copies of your book to Pinecone Book Award. We prefer author-signed books but will accept unsigned ones.

Award Process and Notification

1 >> Review Process

Criteria must be met in the various tiers:
1. Author Recognition (first book published)
2. Book Award (book published and reviewed by others)
3. Authorpreneur Award (third book published).
Evaluation is carried out by a committee of qualified, experienced reviewers whose successful careers may include writers, librarians, teachers, editors, and bookstore owners. At least two reviewers evaluate each book at each level, which is why two copies of your book submission and printed application form are required. Reviewers use an evaluation form for assessing each book submission.

Our goal is to acknowledge the passion, hard work, and perseverance of self-published authors and authorpreneurs.

2 >> Notification of Results

About six to eight weeks after receipt of your book, application, and payment of fee, the results from your application will be made through email and posted online.

Submissions must be received in whole by the submission deadline. Please ensure you are familiar with the program requirements.

3 >> Recognition, Requirements, and Reporting Process

If you receive an author recognition and/or book award, you will be required to:

(a) Acknowledge the Pinecone Book Award by including print/digital logos and verbal credit lines as follows

The Pinecone Book Award organization must be prominently acknowledged.

A reproduction of Pinecone Book Award logo (or a credit line) may be included on printed and digital materials (including publications, websites, programs, posters, promotions, and news releases) for the book.

Logos are available by contacting Pinecone Book Award staff at info@PineconeBookAward.com . If using a credit line, at a minimum, the credit line must include the following information: "[This book] is supported by Pinecone Book Award."

(b) Notify Pinecone Book Award staff by email of any events, i.e., book launch, special promotion, media interviews (podcast, radio, television, virtual interview, etc.).

(c) Agree not to reprint seals without the direct expressed written authorization from Pinecone Book Award staff. Seals are available for purchase directly through the Pinecone Book Award organization.
