    • Are you willing to wait to spay or neuter your dog after they are atleast 11 months old?
    • Our puppies are sold on a non-breeding contract. Do you understand this puppy will have AKC limited registration papers and offspring cannot be registered with AKC?*
    • About Puppy's New Family
    • This is where we find out a little more about the puppy's new home and family. Please remember in most cases there is no "right" or "wrong" answer. This is just a way to get to know you!

    • Do you plan on getting more dogs?
    • If you have children, are they comfortable around puppies and large dogs?
    • Is anyone allergic to dogs in your home?*
    • Do you have a fenced yard?*
    • Do you have a pool?*

    • Do you have someone to watch your puppy/dog when you go on vacation?
    • Ownership Commitment
    • Do you understand that: 1) you need to spend 5-10 minutes per day for training, 2) that puppies need daily training for continued obedience the rest of their life, 3) they need to be let outside every 20 minutes at the start for continued potty training, 4) they need continued socialization to prevent timidness or agression or reactivity toward other dogs and 5) they need continued outside experiences to prevent timidness or reactivity in new places.

    • We normally offer six weeks of free Puppy Socialization and Education on Saturday mornings. This is a great way for the pups to continue to socialize with their littermates while they are under-vaccinated. Will you be able to attend?
    • Would you consider cooking a complete and balanced meal for your dog?

    • The newest research shows that fewer vaccines starting later than previously recommended are better for the puppy/dog. Would you consider talking to your vet about the current research on vaccine schedules (Dr Jean Dodd's Protocol)?

    • Do you understand the cost of training a service/therapy/facility dog?

    • What to expect and Signature
    • Completing this application is a step in the process to acquiring a puppy from Heavenly Sunsets Golden Retrievers, but it does not guarantee you will get a puppy from Heavenly. While it's unlikely, the breeder reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time.

If this application is approved, you'll be notified by text and be required to send a $500 non-refundable deposit to commit to a puppy. The deposit will go towards the full purchase price. Please note our deposit policy: if you make a deposit, you are committing to buy a puppy from the current litter or future litter. The deposit is transferrable...if we do not have a puppy for you in the planned litter or you disagree with the choice of puppy, then you can wait for a future litter. Sometimes this occurs if not enough females or males were born to fullfill your wants or a female does not get pregnant after breeding.

From time to time we may decide to keep a puppy out of a litter. We reserve the right to keep a puppy from any litter. This may mean that certain puppies may not be available while we decide if we will keep the said puppy or not.

Puppies will go to their new homes around 8 weeks old. It is critical for their social development that the litter departs within a reasonable timeframe.

If you are commited to a litter, you may visit the puppies for (one) 45 minute session if our Vet agrees with an open kennel at the time. We do not want to put our puppies at risk if Parvo is high at the time. If we have a closed kennel, we will do Zoom calls.

Breeder, Service and therapy prospects are picked first. After your visit, you can give me your top 3 picks. Based on your application, our conversations, puppy interactions with you and you with them, we place the puppies. I do my best to get the best pup for you. I do have final say on picks as I know the puppies very well. It usually works out beautifully. We do pray for the health of your puppy and which one goes to whom.

Thank you for your time. As you can see, we are serious about who gets our puppies. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions.
