• Bay Area Direct Action Skill Share (BADASS) 2023

  • Apply to get trained in all things direct action this spring in Oakland, California with organizers from all over the west coast! From Saturday, March 25 - Wednesday, March 29, 100 activists will convene for five days of direct action training. We'll kick off with one day of hands-on non-violent direct action (NVDA) training for new folks and action leads. Then we'll move into four days of in depth skill-sharing with 8 different training tracks led by experienced organizers. Direct action beginners and seasoned organizers are welcome!

    BADASS is a collaboration between climate justice and animal liberation organizers. First acceptances will be sent via email on Friday, February 3, 2023. Acceptances will then continue on a rolling basis until all spots are filled. Once you are accepted, you will have access to specific location and housing information as well as training resources.   • Housing, Transportation and Accessibility

    We will be booking a campsite and coordinating other housing near our training location. We will also reimburse transportation costs as needed. Finally, please let us know any and all of your accessibility needs, we want to make sure everyone is able to participate in their chosen activities.

All agreements apply to all community members participating in this training series, in shared and one-on-one community spaces.
