Reservation Cancellation Notice

If you are canceling within 24 hours of your reservation, it is required per the Pilot Agreement to call VFA's Front Desk: 802-863-5988. Sufficient notice ensures that our staff can inform the instructor and reallocate resources to allow another student the opportunity to fly.

I acknowledge that there is a No-Show, Late, and Cancellation Fee for the following conditions:  

• If I cancel a flight with less than 24 hours’ notice, VFA reserves the right to bill me for $10 per scheduled aircraft hour and $15 per scheduled instructor hour. 
• If I cancel a flight with less than 12 hours’ notice, VFA reserves the right to bill me for $20 per scheduled aircraft hour and $30 per scheduled instructor hour. 
• If I do not cancel and do not show up for a lesson or aircraft rental, VFA reserves the right to bill me for $35 per scheduled aircraft hour and $45 per scheduled instructor hour. 
• If you are late for a scheduled lesson which doesn’t result in a cancellation of flight, VFA reserves the right to bill for the instructor time starting at the scheduled start time.  
• If you are late for a scheduled lesson which results in a cancellation of flight, VFA reserves the right to bill the appropriate late fees listed above.  
• If you are responsible for keeping the aircraft past the reserved time which results in the next customer having to cancel their flight, VFA reserves the right to charge an assessed fee up to $50. This policy only applies if the delay was caused by something in your control (ex: leaving late, poor flight planning, etc.). 
  Weather and illness (with a doctor’s note) are exceptions to this policy.
