AUDITION FORMAT
Please be prepared to sing a 1-minute section of a song of your choice, a capella (without instruments or accompaniment). We are happy to provide a starting pitch! Allow about 45 minutes for your audition slot. After checking in, you will have time in a warm-up room, and then you'll sing your 1-minute prepared piece for our Director and members of our Music Team. You will receive your results within 5 minutes of the audition. If you pass the audition, you will then meet briefly with our music staff to select your voice part and receive information about our chorus, barbershop harmony, and how to become a member of Vocal Matrix Chorus.
REGISTRATION
Fill out the form to request your available time(s) for an in-person audition on either Thursday, February 23 between 5:30 and 8:00pm or Saturday, February 25 between 10am and 3pm. All auditions will be held at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 2240 Woodruff Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29681. After you submit the form, you will receive more information about the audition and confirmation of your official audition time.
THEN WHAT?
After you pass your initial audition, you will be invited to attend rehearsal with Vocal Matrix Chorus the Monday following your audition from 6:15-9:30pm. At that time we will provide more orientation, share the next steps toward chorus membership, introduce you to the chorus, and invite you to join us in our rehearsal.
