• Tell Senator Manka Dhingra to support public safety and pass bi-partisan SB 5352 through the Law and Justice Committee

When you add your name below, this message will be sent directly to Senator Manka Dhingra

    Dear Senator Dhingra,

I urge you to work in a bipartisan fashion with your Senate colleagues and allow SB 5352 to leave the Law and Justice Committee and allow a floor vote on this bill. As we have seen, the 2021 anti-pursuit laws have resulted in an increase in crime in our state.

Washington State Police officers from across our state have requested that the legislature return the criteria of pursuits away from the 2021 laws requiring 'probable cause' back to 'reasonable suspicion.'

Right now, you have an opportunity to pass real reform in a bipartisan manner in Olympia, something that residents on both sides of the aisle are hoping to see, rather than an increase in hyper-partisan politics that have deteriorated the social fabric that holds our state together.

I urge you to do the right thing and allow this bill to pass through the Law and Justice committee so that Washington can move forward, tame crime, and move on to other matters important to the residents of Washington state.

    Sincerely,

    The Citizens of Washington State
