Hello and welcome to Elora Co-op Preschool!

We are a small school with a proud history in the community of Elora. The Elora Co-op Preschool is a long-standing Centre Wellington institution, cherished by local families for over 40 years and we are now teaching the children of our past students. Whether you are new to our community, or have been here awhile we welcome you and all children within our community.

The Preschool is a co-operative school that is run by its membership. All families attending the preschool play an important role for its daily function and direction. We are excited to have you join this amazing community that has been created within our preschool. The preschool runs from September to June, and follows the same holiday schedule as the UGDSB. We remain open on PD days but are closed on statutory holidays, over the Christmas Break as well as March break.

The Preschool has 4 different classes that run each week.
- Monday morning Toddler 9:00-11:30am, ages 18-30 months
- Monday/Tuesday/Thursday afternoon 12:30-3:00pm, ages 30+ months
- Tuesday/Thursday morning 9:00-11:30am, ages 30+ months
- Wednesday/Friday full day 9:15am-3:00pm, ages 30+ months
Waitlist: There are a limited number of spots within each class. If the class you are registering your child for is full, you can place your child on the waitlist. There is no fee to be placed on the waitlist, it is offered on a first come basis in accordance to the registration order.

Parent Cooperative Duties: The Preschool relies on the participation and engagement from each family attending the preschool, as they play an important role in the daily function and direction of the preschool. Each family is assigned a task or responsibility on a committee that they are required to complete (e.g. outdoor maintenance, social/fundraising events, making play doh etc.). Should you wish to opt-out of volunteering, you will be charged an additional fee of $250.00.

It is required by Public Health that a copy of your child's immunization record is submitted to the Preschool in order to confirm registration and secure your child's spot. This can be emailed to nancy@elorapreschool.ca*

I am aware that a copy of my child's immunization record is required WITHIN 1 WEEK after registering. I understand that failing to submit a copy could result in loosing a spot at the Preschool.
I give the Elora Co-op Preschool permission to apply hand sanitizer, diaper cream and sunscreen that I have provided with my child's name on it.*

Activities off the Premises: Occasionally the classes may go on walks throughout the neighborhood with the children (e.g. to the post office, around the block, local grocery store)*

Being apart of a Co-op Preschool requires families to attend 2 membership meetings annually (Falls and Spring), to vote on current issues, assist with decision making and future planning.*

Please be advised that in order for the registration process to be completed, the $40 registration fee must be paid and a copy of your child's immunization record must be received by the Preschool supervisor within 1 week. Failure to do so could result in forfeiting your child's spot. Registration will be confirmed by email upon receipt of your completed forms, registration fee and immunization record. Should you decide to withdraw your child from the Preschool, it's required that 30 days notice is given. Preschool fees are paid on a monthly basis through an automatic payment subscription. Further information regarding setting up your payments will be sent out to families by the end of August.
