We require that adults over the age of 18 must collect children. If you require somebody under the age of eighteen to collect your child, you MUST discuss this with management, in person, prior to collection. Management will use their discretion as to whether the welfare of the child may be put at risk.

Arrangements in the case of sickness and/or any emergency:
Our Before and After School Club does not accept children who are unwell and we expect parents/carers to inform us on the day (or sooner) if their child will not be attending. If a child becomes unwell during their stay with us we contact the parent/carer at the earliest opportunity. Staff at the Out of School Club have undertaken appropriate training to deal with an emergency.

While every attempt will be made to contact you there may be a situation
when it is deemed necessary to administer basic first aid to your child (of
which a written record will be kept) and in an emergency, call the emergency
services.

The issue of child safety is taken very seriously at Sunshine Street Out of School Club. This includes the use of images of pupils. These may be used for display/training purposes within the club. However, we have a duty of care towards children, which means that children must remain unidentifiable, reducing the risk of inappropriate contact, if images are used in this way.

We ask that parents consent to Sunshine Street Before and After School Club taking and using photographs and images of their children whilst completing activities. Any use of pupil images at the Out of School Club is underpinned by the safeguarding and use of cameras policy of Sunshine Street. We will never include the full name of the pupil alongside an image.

The cost of each session will be:

Before School Only(breakfast) Club: £5.00(breakfast included)

After School Club session: £10.00 (light snack/fruit/milk and water provided)

Full time places stand at £67.50 a week (5 breakfast sessions and 5 after school sessions) 10% discount on regular price of £75.00

In order to forecast numbers and plan staffing ratios carefully, a minimum of a week’s notice is required for extra attendance at the Before and After School Club.

Regular monthly fees will be paid in advance by Bank Transfer although we do accept cash. The monthly figure will be calculated pro-rata and you will be advised of the amount due by email. As the amount will be calculated on a full school year of 38 weeks, if early cancellation of sessions an amount may be due or refunded depending on the sessions already attended.

4 weeks of notice is required should you no longer require your place at Sunshine Street Before and After School Club or the number of sessions the child attends is to be reduced, fees will still be charged during this notice period. All payments need to be received by the first day of the forthcoming week to ensure attendance at the Out of School club.

In the event of absence without notice or illness, occasional days off and parental holidays, payment of the full session is required.

Please be aware that there is a ‘Late collection fee’ in place for any children collected after the 5:30pm collection time. This is due to school needing to be locked up and staff having to remain on premises. This currently stands at £1.00 per minute.

Please note that:

Sunshine Street Before and After School Club reserves the right to amend the terms/conditions at any time.
A copy of insurance policies is available on the Notice Board for parents/carers to ensure that their needs and those of their child are met.
It is our policy that everyone who attends, works in or visits Sunshine Street Before and After School has the right to enjoy the service we provide and all who attend our provision are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is mindful of the presence of children.
In the event of a compliment, concern or complaint Sunshine Street Before and After School Club welcomes discussion with parents/carers about the service they and their child can expect from us. Please speak to Mrs Elaine Haddon After School Club owner for the complaints policy and procedure.
