  • AUTHORIZATION

    To the best of my knowledge, I am in good health and able to participate in all camp activities, except any conditions listed above. I will inform Camp Triumph if I become exposed to any serious, or infectious diseases (i.e. vomiting/diarrhea, COVID-19), or respiratory diseases within four weeks of attending camp. I will notify camp staff promptly of any changes to the above medical information. I authorize the staff of Camp Triumph to seek medical advice and services, as may be deemed necessary for my health and safety, in the event that the emergency contact provided cannot be reached in a timely manner. This may include standard first aid, transportation to hospital, ambulance service and treatment in the emergency department. I agree to accept financial responsibility in excess of the benefits provided by Provincial Insurance for any costs incurred by Camp Triumph.

  • APPLICATION AGREEMENT

    Thank you for applying to Camp Triumph. As a volunteer-driven charitable organization serving a very unique population, we would not be able to offer this important service without the hard work of our volunteers.

    We depend on our volunteer counsellors to look after our campers from their Sunday afternoon arrival to their Saturday afternoon departure each week. We conduct an orientation and training session with staff the Saturday evening and Sunday morning before each week. This is mandatory to attend as all important and pertinent information be gone over in detail. This will ensure that both you and the campers will have the best possible experience.

    Throughout the week, counsellors supervise campers during activities, meals, and free time. Counsellors also help run activities and really get to be kids too with the way we interact with the campers.

    Each day, counsellors will be assigned to different activities from kayaking to arts and crafts to field games. As a group, counsellors run each activity and ensure the campers are having fun. This is based on what activity preference and experience counsellors indicate on the application form. On Friday each week we hold an Olympic day where the whole camp is mixed up into different teams with one counsellor on each team as coach and the rest officiating. The teams pick a country to represent and go through a whole day of friendly competition in Olympic-themed events. On Saturday each camper gets the chance to shine as each counsellor presents them with a Triumphant Award unique to them before sending them on their way.

    Our counsellors are extremely important to the experience of our campers, one that they hold very dear. Counsellors enrich the camper’s experience with the unique perspective that each individual brings as well as through their common goal of providing a safe, understanding, and uplifting environment.
