  • CAMP DETAILS

    Location: KSA in Cougar Ridge - Kinder & Out of School Care (OSC) combined

    Schedule: 5 day options only except on 4 day weeks with a stat holiday

    Hours: 8am - 5pm (No early drop-offs/pick-ups available)

    Includes: Materials, 2 snacks and lunch and field trip / guest appearances

    Payment: Amount for all weeks to be paid at the time of registration

    Cost: 

    $350 for 5 day week   

    $325 for 4 day week (due to stat closure)

     

    FIELD TRIPS & COMMUNITY WALKS

    Every Wednesday the children will go on a field trip or have a guest appearance.

    Lunch, snacks, extra water and all equipment will be provided and brought with the children on the bus by KSA staff. This includes our emergency backback and any fun equipment for the day.

    Throughout each week, the staff will also invite the children to go for walks around some of the interesting areas of our community.

    Waivers are required for each child for all off-site activities and will be provided to you prior to your camp start date. 

    WATER PLAY

    KSA loves to set up their sprinklers & giant slip n' slide throughout the week, weather permitting, so the children can get lots of time to splash around too!

    We ask that if you would like your child to participate in these activities, to ensure they are well prepared with swim suits, towels, sunscreen, hats and anything else you would like them to have to stay safe.

  • Summer Care Payment Process

    Payments will be automatically withdrawn on the first Monday or Thursday after you register for camps.

    If a payment is declined due to Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF), your registration will be considered incomplete. Incomplete registrations will not be processed and may be replaced by completed registrations, which could result in losing your spot.

    All payments will be processed by Miranda with Registrations.

  • Cancellation Policy 

    • A cancellation made 4 weeks or more prior to the camp start date will be fully refunded (less a $25 administration fee per camp).
    • A cancellation made between 2 – 3 weeks prior to the camp start date will be fully refunded (less a $75 administration fee per camp).
    • A cancellation made less than 2 weeks prior to camp start date will not be refunded.
  • Transferring registration to a different week

    If there is space to transfer to different camp, the following conditions apply: 

    • $25 administration fee for transfers done more than 3 weeks prior to the start day of your orginal camp
    • $75 administration fee for transfers done less than 2 weeks prior to the start day of your original camp. 

    If you transfer you registered camp to a new camp week and then decide to cancel the new camp the amount will not be refunded.

    Ready, set, GO! This is an action-packed week designed for kids who love to move, create, and take on new challenges. Campers will build confidence, strength, balance, and teamwork through exciting obstacle courses, hurdles, rolling run mats, tire flip relays, and splashy water bucket races that keep the energy high and the fun nonstop.  Between big-body games, children will enjoy creative crafts and team challenges that spark imagination and problem-solving. The highlight of the week is a special field trip to Rumble Boxing at West 85th, where campers will experience a fun, age-appropriate heavy bag workout that helps them explore movement, power, and coordination in an encouraging environment.  It’s all about staying active, supporting one another, and having an absolute blast with friends!

    Get ready to glow! This high-energy camp is packed with glow-in-the-dark art, messy creativity, exciting science, and active games. Campers will enjoy UV-reactive painting and crafts, glowing lanterns, glow rock creatures, glowing slime, and galaxy glow canvases. Children can hang out in our glow room with black lights, party strobes and UV reactive party space.    Messy fun includes splash painting, spray-gun painting, plaster of Paris sculptures, and spin painting. Outdoor activities feature Nerf gun battles, sponge paint relay races, painting Pictionary, and a team mural battle.    Campers will also explore color through hands-on science like pH color-changing paint, salt diffusion art, pendulum painting, and a color-mixing lab. The week wraps hosts a special glow bowling field trip for an unforgettable experience!

    Mini Mad Scientists - July 20th - 24th

    Get ready for a week packed with BIG reactions, messy experiments, and mind-blowing discoveries! Our Science Week is all about learning through play, movement, teamwork, and experimentation, with tons of “wow!” moments around every corner.  Children become junior scientists as they create chromatography art, magic milk swirls, dancing raisins, DIY lava lamps, slime science, and magnetic masterpieces. We’ll explore chemical reactions, forces, and motion through smoke screen reactions, treasure hunts in melting ice, and hands-on problem-solving challenges.  Science meets movement with static electricity tag, magnetic pull games, and our action-packed “Balance the Force” obstacle course. Campers will also test gravity with balloon challenges, gravity mazes, aluminum can races, and even a high-energy human circuit game!  Young engineers will build bottle rockets, design parachutes for an egg drop, and complete creative science-themed crafts. To top it all off, a special Mad Science visitor will lead interactive experiments where kids discover science that’s slippery, stretchy, squashy, and slimy — and make their own slime to take home!

    Get ready for a WILD summer adventure! Our camp is packed with creativity, movement, science, and nonstop fun. Campers will design Build-an-Animal Habitats, sculpt clay creatures, create pom-pom animals, and paint their very own adventure parks while strengthening fine-motor skills and imagination.  We’ll stay active with animal relay races, Predator vs. Prey tag, maze challenges, and habitat hopping games that build teamwork and confidence. Young scientists will dive into hands-on STEM fun by making bird feeders, building mini mazes, and testing cool experiments like insulation challenges, footprint pressure tests, beak strength trials, and water clean-up missions.  To top it all off, we’ll cool down with water play and head out on an unforgettable field trip to Cobbs Farm — home to 100+ wallabies and kangaroos (including babies!), plus sloths, anteaters, porcupines, alpacas, reptiles, and so much more. Campers will also enjoy tractor rides, climbing walls, mini golf, pedal karts, archery, and the Funzone!

    Get ready for a week of food, fun, and hands-on exploration! Children will learn how food is prepared, organized, and enjoyed through engaging activities and interactive experiences.  The highlight of the week is a Thursday field trip to Save-On-Foods, where campers will enjoy a behind-the-scenes store tour—checking out storage coolers, the deli and bakery, watching bread being baked and bagged, and even seeing the cardboard compactor in action. The visit wraps up with a hands-on cookie decorating activity after a picnic lunch.  Back at camp, children will rotate through immersive activities, including making fruit roll-ups with a dehydrator, homemade ice cream, and fresh salsa. We’ll also cool off with plenty of water fun, including splash games, Nerf water battles, water balloons, and Slip ’n Slide time.  This week is all about discovering where food comes from, how it’s made, and enjoying every step in a playful, hands-on way!

    The Great Reptile Adventure Week – August 10th - 14th 

    Get ready to slither, crawl, and explore during our exciting Reptile Theme Week! Children will dive into all things reptiles through hands-on activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and movement.   The highlight of the week is a live reptile visit on Wednesday, where children will meet real reptiles up close and learn about them in an engaging, interactive way. Throughout the week, campers will create reptile-inspired art including habitat dioramas, clay reptile sculptures, scale and pattern art, and stamping activities.  Sensory fun includes mud and sand lizard digs, reptile slime labs, and snake water trails. Active games and movement will keep campers energized with reptile exercises, crocodile yoga, hula-hoop snake games, alligator swamp challenges, scavenger hunts, and classic reptile-themed games.  This week is packed with discovery, movement, and creative fun—perfect for curious campers who love animals and hands-on learning!

    Get ready for a farm-fresh adventure at summer camp! We’ll take an exciting trip to Saskatoon Farms, where children will explore the U-pick fields, handpicking delicious, ripe fruits to bring back to the center. As they roam the farm, they’ll learn about the life cycle of plants, from tiny seeds to full-grown fruit-bearing trees.   Back at camp, each child will plant their own vegetable to care for throughout the week and take home as a special green-thumb project. To top it all off, our young chefs will chop, mix, and enjoy a homemade fruit salad using their freshly picked produce, turning their farm-to-table experience into a tasty and rewarding treat!

    Campers will visit Nerf City where the excitement of  Nerf battles is brought to life in a safe, action-packed environment. Campers will dodge foam darts, outsmart their opponents, protect their bases, and lead their teams through thrilling missions and custom-built arenas.   Campers will tap into their creativity by designing team flags, headbands, camo art, clan flags, and ninja-themed paintings, then put their skills to the test as they conquer obstacle courses, play ninja tag, tackle balance battles, and leap through “floor is lava” challenges. They’ll also explore hands-on experiments and problem-solving activities, including zip lines, ninja star creations.
