ALL UNIFORM WEAR SCHOLARSHIPS

Our “AUW Positive Impact” Scholarship is named after a very special teacher who used all her resources to help a young boy... she didn’t know it then, but this young boy would grow up to become a force for good in his community and his family, our founder Moises De Paz.

Moises was born and raised in Cuba, where getting an education was very expensive. His parents did all they could to make sure he was able to go to school, but at the young age of 9, the financial burden became overbearing. With a heavy heart, Moises resigned from his elementary school.

Upon hearing the news, his elementary teacher, Francisca, took it upon herself to find Moises and arranged a plan for him to continue his studies outside the classroom. Moises grew up on a farm, a long way from his school, yet Francisca was committed to visiting him every day to teach Moises all that she could. It was no easy feat, but she saw how determined he was and how closely he paid attention during all their lessons. She knew how much this would impact his life and continued to teach Moises on her own time.

It is ordinary people like Francisca who make EXTRAORDINARY impacts on the lives of many. Thanks to her love of learning and teaching, along with her heartfelt desire to make a positive impact, Moises’ life was forever changed. To this day, Francisca and Moises remain close friends and will remain so for all time.

5.Incomplete applications will not be considered.

6.The selected recipient will be announced prior to graduation and presented at commencement ceremony.

7.All scholarship recipients must submit request for funds by 11/01/2025- if funds are not requested the winning student will forfeit the scholarship.

NOTE: Scholarship funds will be awarded to the student’s educational institution, upon evidence of registration in classes. This includes student identification number and correct address of school’s Bursar's Office.

1,500 scholarship will be awarded – One (1) selected from each AUW “contracted” high school by All Uniform Wear Board of Directors.

*Applicant must be a graduating senior in the 2024-2025 school year*

1.Applicant must demonstrate a positive impact consistent with capacity and circumstances.

2.Applicant must attend a high school currently under contract with All Uniform Wear.

5.Volunteer or participate in community service (50 Hours) or extracurricular activities.

6.Plan on applying for financial assistance to attend college.

7.All Application information must be sent together to qualify.

8.Letter of Recommendation from Teacher or Administrator.

I hereby understand that if chosen as a scholarship winner, I must provide evidence of enrollment/registration at the post-secondary institution of my choice before scholarship funds can be awarded. They will be presented directly to institution.

All Uniform Wear’s corporate purpose is, in part, to have a positive impact on all who come in contact with All Uniform Wear. How have you had a positive impact on those you encounter and how do you plan to continue to positively influence people? Essay must be at least 1000 words.
