• Manchester Pride Parade 2023

    Parade Application Form
  • The Manchester Pride Parade is the City's biggest, with tens of thousands of LGBTQ+ people and allies gathering to march through the city for equality and thousands more lining the streets to take in the spectacular sea of colours.

The theme for 2023's Parade is Queerly Beloved.

We are gathered here today, to spread LOVE.

The love for ourselves and the love for our community is something that needs to be celebrated.

    Our love is powerful.
    Our love is resistance.

Celebrating love, especially for those more marginalised within our communities, who are at the forefront of this fight is particularly important. So join us in standing with our community with love and march against the hate reflected within politics, the media, the streets and harmful legislation.

This theme aims to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of marriage equality in the England and Wales. The Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act, was passed on 17 July 2013. The act enabled civil partners to convert their partnership to a marriage, if they wish; and enabled individuals to change their legal gender without having to end their marriage. This theme celebrates the wins for our community and also poses a question, how far have we really come?

This form is for applications only. If you are a single walker or small group interested in taking part please apply for our Parade Troupe.

Please be sure to read the questions carefully as the application process has changed.

NB: PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT THIS FORM IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ALL THE INFORMATION AVAILABLE

  • The purpose of the Manchester Pride Parade is to celebrate LGBTQ+ social and self acceptance, achievements, legal rights, and to march for equality for the LGBTQ+ community.

Please explain how your organisation supports the LGBTQ+ community year round (ex: an LGBTQ+ Employee Network, donations to LGBTQ+ groups, grassroots LGBTQ+ charity work, etc.)

Manchester Pride has an pre-agreed window of time and resource to deliver the Parade. We work hard all year to ensure the safety of all participants and visitors whilst minimising the impact on the day to day running of the City.

The plans for Parade including the number of participants taking part has been agreed in your application process and then signed off by our Safety Advisory Group.

We do not accept additional walkers turning up on the day and they will not be issued a walkers' wristband.

In order to assist our stewarding team to maintain a safe Parade, we are asking everyone taking part in the Parade to wear a wristband. These will be issued and collected from the Check-in Point on the day.
