We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit academy in downtown Aurora that concentrates on providing STEAM education for K-12 students and adults through project-based learning. Our vision is to promote economic equality so our community will not simply survive, but thrive through the cultivation of a diverse STEAM-based workforce.

Here's what we're looking for...

APS Training Academy is a new, growing non-profit organization looking for individuals who are passionate about STEAM accessibility in underserved communities. We want people who are interested in teaching our curriculum or developing and teaching their own in a STEAM field they are excited about.

Here are some responsibilities in this position:

Creating a positive learning environment
Teaching students of various abilities
Learning existing curriculum for a one to two week (6-16 hour) course
Developing NEW curriculum for a one to two week (6-16 hour) course (optional)
Teach the course to a group of 10-15 students (APS will recruit students)
Provide feedback to the students and evaluate their understanding of the course material
Adjust and improve the course curriculum
Instill self-confidence in students as they explore new areas of technology
