• ARTSCOPE is a summer arts program for 8-12 year olds, designed to provide opportunities for personal growth, sharing creativity, social interaction, skill development and presentation of work in an atmosphere of culture, fun and relaxation.

ARTSCOPE is based on skill development and compatibility. Emphasis is on arts exploration with the hope that students will feel comfortable in trying something new.

ARTSCOPE is a process oriented program, and the emphasis is on learning and developing new skills. A showcase video for families at the end of the session will highlight the activities presented to the participants.

ARTSCOPE is also "camp" and many regular "camp" activities will be programmed in the schedule. There will be theme days as well as other fun activities.

Behavior at ARTSCOPE is based on self-discipline, regard for others and a "time-out" approach to problems. Staff will do its best to provide a warm, loving environment for participants with an emphasis on development of skills and well-defined structure. Parents will be notified as to any long-term behavior problems, and together staff, parents, and campers will develop solutions.
