At this point, it seems like {habit} will not have a major effect in any way on your life.
If you can think of other benefits it can provide (e.g. social, spiritual, environmental, intellectual, etc.), then by all means start {habit}!
Otherwise, recognize that it will net neutral in benefit so you can basically flip a coin to decide whether to do it or not and it should have a similar outcome.
