There is no better way to start your day than a paddle on the ocean under the majesty of a Mauna Kea sunrise. Ohana recreational paddling is a great way to experience authentic Hawaiian culture, stay in shape, make new friends, and learn outrigger canoe paddling skills. No paddling experience is needed, but you must be able to swim, and we will need some paperwork filled out before heading out on the water.
  • What to Bring

We have life jackets and paddles available for those just starting, but you should apply sunscreen and bring water and a towel.

    Directions

Meet at Anaehoʻomalu Bay (“A-Bay”), the home of the Waikoloa Canoe Club adjacent to Lava Lava Beach Club.

  • First, a few questions

  • Waikoloa Canoe Club requires that all paddlers must be able to swim.
