Available Positions: 18yrs+

Flexibility to set up your own locations (within our service area) and dates and times. We are looking to offer a few different time options (Days, Evenings, weekends) and plan on hiring a few hike leaders! Hikes must occur during daylight hours and we will offer them throughout all 4 seasons but not if the temp falls below 35 or above 85

Can create your own hours. Minimum of a few hours a week required. Opportunity for more hours if all works out.

Requirements:

Position will involve leading our 4 legged clients and their humans through an adventure hike. Location must be scouted out in advance by group leader to ensure safety and get your route down. Looking to stick to locations where hunting is not a concern. Research some fun facts and history on selected location to share with participants along the way (can write up on index cards). Clients will be responsible for walking and controlling their own dogs. Hike leader is welcome to bring their pup provided well behaved and 100% ok with new people and other dogs. Location/date/time will get submitted by hike leader and approved. Will take place on trails only (hiking trails or paved trails) and away from traffic/other safety concerns. Hike leader is responsible for ensuring no participants get lost, waiting for them to catch up before turn offs on paths and ensuring everyone gets back safely!

Our goal is to provide our clients and their pets with fun, socialization and an adventure they will enjoy. An experience where they can explore new locations as well as some of their favorite already discovered trails.

All dogs participating will need to submit rabies vaccination records in advance.

Prior experience working with dogs required
Must be comfortable with all breeds, activity levels and sizes of dogs
Seeking someone who is comfortable talking with clients and answering their questions along the hike.
Pet first aid class certification required. We require a very specific pet first aid class which is offered through www.petsit.com
Additional wilderness training may be required in future

Needed supplies for hikes
-Cell phone with all trails app
-Pet first aid kit
-Spare slip lead/leash
-Collapsible bowl for water
-Water bottle for you & extra water bottle should a dog run out
*Clients will be responsible for bringing their own but as emergency back up
-Backpack or bag to keep supplies in
