RPW Padilla Project Intake
Use this form to refer individuals to the Immigrant Post Conviction Relief Project, a joint project of the Seattle Clemency Project and the Washington Defender Association. Cases will only be considered where successful PCR will result in eligibility for relief from removal and/or termination of removal proceedings or eligibility for US citizenship or lawful status. Case acceptance determinations are made by SCP and are based upon capacity and assessment of intake priority factors. (1) Screen the case for (a) eligibility for relief in immigration court/USCIS, and (b) likelihood of success in immigration court/USCIS; and (2) Plan to take the immigration case for direct representation if the Project accepts the individual’s case for PCR representation and succeeds in obtaining PCR (e.g., you will file the motion to terminate, or you will handle the client’s cancellation case, etc.).
