WALKING IN THE DARK,
CLOSER TO THE LIGHT
Friday, October 27th - 29th, 2023
$110 - Includes 4 Meals and Lodging
Mount Eagle Retreat Center, Clinton, Arkansas
A retreat to help support and equip those in the helping professions to be of service to others experiencing grief, led by Greg Adams, director of the Center for Good Mourning at Arkansas Children's Hospital.
An ancient Jewish poet wrote, "Tis a fearful thing to love what death can touch." It can also be a fearful thing to support and join with those who are grieving what death has touched. Yet there are ways to offer thoughtful understanding, support, and help to those who are grieving, both young and old - to make a positive difference and experience the honor of being a part of someone's life at a critical time.
In this retreat, we will consider the influences and resources of our own losses, think more deeply about the complexities of grieving, take time for self-care, and discuss ideas about how to respectfully help and support. We will walk together into dark places and find ourselves paradoxically closer to the light.
Please consider being a part of this special time of learning away from daily demands and routine.
