    Artist Application Form

  • The Friends on Show exhibition is an annual exhibition celebrating the talents of the Friends of Hazelhurst members by providing the opportunity for Friends to exhibit their artworks in the Broadhurst Gallery at Hazelhurst Arts Centre.

  • EXHIBITION DATES: Saturday 8th April to Tuesday 18th April 2023

    APPLICATIONS OPEN: Monday 20th February 2023

    APPLICATIONS CLOSE: Monday 20th March 2023

    DELIVERY OF ARTWORKS: Wednesday 5th April from 10am to 2pm

    OPENING: Saturday 8th April 2pm - 4pm

    COLLECTION OF ARTWORKS: Wednesday 19th April between 10am and 12noon.

  • Please note that “Friends on Show” is open to financial Friends of Hazelhurst members only. If you need to renew your membership or are not a member yet, you can visit our website www.friendofhazelhurst.org or call 8536 5700 for more details on how to join.

  • How to enter Friends on Show

  • All entrants must complete the online application form with payment of a $30 fee per artist

    We encourage each applicant to submit a minimum of two artworks. By submitting two artworks it allows the Gallery curators to select artworks that will highlight all the artists and create an interesting exhibition. However if you only have one artwork please enter.

    The artists are given the choice to enter a third artwork which is not compulsory.

    The artworks entered must be the artist’s own work and personal property and be completed in the last two years. 

    Artworks should be mounted, framed and ready for hanging with D-rings.

    Place a label on the back of your artwork, Name/Title/Price (incl. 30% commission).

    Artists if possible may upload a digital image of their artworks and a short Artist Statement of 300 words maximum. We prefer a digital image as it may be used for future advertising of the FOS.

    INSURANCE
    Artists are responsible for insuring their artworks against theft and damage. Reasonable care will be taken but no responsibility for loss, damage or theft will be accepted by Friends of Hazelhurst or Hazelhurst Arts Centre.
