The Riverfest Board of Directors is a 100% volunteer group dedicated to working year round to put on Riverfest every year in La Crosse.Each Director is assigned a portfolio yearly which they work through to establish their individual part of fest and along with the other Director’s portfolios they combine to produce Riverfest.If you’re interested in becoming part of the Riverfest Board of Directors we encourage you to fill out the application below. We conduct interviews shortly after Riverfest wraps up and new Director terms start in November.Thank you for your interest, we look forward to meeting you!Application deadline for Riverfest is August 15th of each year.

GENERAL QUESTIONS
Thank you for your interest in Riverfest! The following information is needed to help us get to know you. It will also give you an opportunity to understand the expectations Riverfest has of it’s Directors.
How did you find out about serving as a Director for Riverfest?*
Why are you applying for a position on the board?*

BOARD REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS
1: The Board of Directors meet on the 1st Monday of August – April, twice in May, every Monday in June, and 2 wrap up meetings in July. Meetings begin at 5:30pm and last 1-3 hours. As a Director, you are expected to attend meetings. Will you be able to attend? If not, please explain.*
2: During the year, Board of Directors and Comodores participate in parades and banquets. You will be expected to attend the Oktoberfest maple Leaf and TorchlightParades along with other events such as the Commodore Banquet. There may be other events in addition to these. Will you be able to attend? If not, please explain.*
3: There are several working days held during the year. A variety of different tasks will need to be done ranging from light to heavy work. Do you have any specific limitations?*
4: Set-up week is the week prior to Riverfest and varies depending on the year. Being present on grounds is an expectation of all Directors to assist with volunteers aswell as to help setup scheduled tasks. Do you see potential problems with the week prior to fest? If so, please explain.*
5: Tear down is multiple days following Riverfest. Directors are expected on grounds for the entire day until tear down is complete. Do you see potential problems? Ifyes, please explain.*
6: Will your employer support your involvement with Riverfest?*
7: During Riverfest you are expected to be on grounds. Will your employment allow this time off?*
