  • It is our pleasure to offer our Community Grant Program this year. Our grants will range from $1500 -$10,000.  Among the objectives of the Community Grant Program to support projects that:

    ·Address humanitarian needs of an identified group of persons (low income, developmental disabilities, illiterate, young single parents, and so on) residing in or around the Glen Ellyn Community;

    · Support new projects, specific needs (outside of the day to day operations) that will have an impact upon the target beneficiary community

    · Enhance Rotary’s reputation as a service organization by possibly expanding our impact to efforts not previously addressed by the Club;

     If your organization has a project that you would like to be considered for a 2023 Rotary Club Foundation local grant, please complete this application and submit it along with your annual budget and a recent profit and loss report by June 1st 2023, If your project is selected for a grant, we will ask that you send a representative to one of our Thursday lunch meetings to accept the grant on behalf of your organization. We will also ask that you support Glen Ellyn Rotary by sharing news of our fundraising efforts with your community of supporters. Lastly, we are always looking for new members, particularly members that have a genuine interest in supporting our community. Please consider membership in our club. You are more than welcome to visit as our guest when considering membership.

  • As a 501(c)(3) foundation, all project funding must comply with the following.

    The exempt purposes set forth in section 501(c)(3) are charitable, religious, educational, scientific, literary, testing for public safety, fostering national or international amateur sports competition, and preventing cruelty to children or animals.  The term charitable is used in its generally accepted legal sense and includes relief of the poor, the distressed, or the underprivileged; advancement of religion; advancement of education or science; erecting or maintaining public buildings, monuments, or works; lessening the burdens of government; lessening neighborhood tensions; eliminating prejudice and discrimination; defending human and civil rights secured by law; and combating community deterioration and juvenile delinquency.
