  • Students who meet options 1-4 above qualify as "regular students" and will be exempt from the requirement to take the First-Year Law Students Exam upon successful completion of the first year of studies at NWCU.

    Students who meet option 5 above qualify as "special students" and must take the First-Year Law Students Exam upon successful completion of the first year of studies at NWCU.

    The following transcripts or official records are required prior to starting the law study program at NWCU:

    • Students meeting options 1 or 2 above: an official* transcript is required from each college or university at which you have earned any degree.

    • Students meeting option 3 above: an official* transcript is required from each college or university you have ever attended.

    * Covers access to our online eJuris® program, all online materials, and recordings of legal terms

     

    Payment Plan: NWCU does not offer a scholarship program, but does provide an affordable payment plan. Students pay an initial payment upon enrollment of $995.00, which includes the LexisNexis subscription, one-time materials fee, administrative fee, and first of twelve tuition payments. Students also submit eleven personal checks in the amount of $325.00 each, postdated for each following month.

     

    Additional Costs: Students must purchase required texts and materials as shown on the required book list on our website. Students must arrange for a proctor for final exams proctors and must pay proctoring fees, if applicable. Upon graduation, students may order J.D. degree suitable for framing, at a current cost of $100, International Students must contact Lori at lori@nwculaw.edu for shipping fees.

     

    State Bar of California fees: Students must pay fees to the State Bar of California, such as for registration as a law student, bar exam fees, applications for attorney licensing, etc. Please check the State Bar website for information about fees and becoming a licensed attorney in California.

    The method of instruction at this law school for the Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree program is principally by technological means including interactive classes.

  • 13. NWCU POLICY

    I understand that there are no residency requirements for the law study program and that, upon  successful completion of all non-residence study requirements and payment in full of all monies owed, students are awarded a degree.

     

    I also understand that the California Education Code prohibits the transmission of information contained in my application (and documents submitted to supplement the application) to others without my consent. I hereby specifically agree that Northwestern California University School of Law may submit such information to the schools or agencies of its choice for verification.

    Further, I agree that the liability of Northwestern California University, a California Corporation, and its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents and partners with respect to any losses arising from negligence (except where such liability cannot be excluded as a matter of law), breach of contract, or otherwise will be limited in all circumstances to the full amount paid to Northwestern California University by me.
